Exclamation I found a COOL NEW TOY!

I was at my LSS yesterday and found the COOLEST thing. It is called StamPress and is made by clearsnap.

Check it out:

http://www.franticstamper.com/stampress.htm

(I did a google search just to find a picture, but I don't know anything about this site.)

What do you think? I was impressed.

It looks great, let us know how you find it. Please, no more, lol, if my hubby finds any more craft gadgets around the house he is likely to leave!

I want one! Well, maybe I just want to try it. Looks like a lot of fun.

I've played with it a little already (YES, I bought one LOL). I paid $35.00 for mine and it comes with a wheel and a black jumbo cartridge. It even has a little adapter that you can use for regular sized wheels. I like that I don't pick up any edges when I roll the paper through. That is my main problem with my wheel handle. I guess I am not steady enough and I throw away as many pieces as I keep. The only downside... now I need more jumbo cartridges.

Mine was impressed too. He was helping me figure it out because I am INJURED (I almost sliced my finger off last night with my pampered chef slice n grate... not to self: use food guard next time lol). It comes put together, put I was "getting acquainted" LOL. It's really easy to use and I think I may dust off my wheels now.

On another *funny DH* story. I told him about the xyron and how I was trying to CASE a card made by cpw3431 that is totally awesome but couldn't because I didn't have one. He asked me what it was and after I explained he says, "cool, get one and I can make stickers too!" LOL He is NOT crafty... he will probably make gun stickers or something. LOL

Jody, how hard is it to turn the handle? It sure looks like a great tool and would be great for anyone with muscle problems. That pressing down is an arm killer!
Also about how much do you think it weighs? Unless it's plastic it kinda looks heavy.
No marks from wheel edges would be great!

It's not hard to turn at all! And it clamps to your table if you want it to for added stability (clamp thing is removable). Otherwise you'd have to hold it down while you were turning the handle.

I grabbed my hand pampered chef kitchen scale for you and the package (including the extra pieces and stuff) was a little under 2 pounds.

Thanks, tool scout! What an awesome find!

I wonder if SU knows about this, and if they do if they'd consider offering it. I'm sooo with you on not having a steady hand. I truly love the wheel designs I have, I just shy away from them 'cause "I SUCK" at doing it right! The lines are never straight.

Ooooh I like the "Replacement Drive wheel" offered! I would use it in a handle just to lay down a solid strip of color. OR- !! Run it over a patterned background stamp to roll on texture!!!, Hmm, I think I need one of those solid wheels!!

Thanks for the link!

Thanks Jody, I think my bad back could handle two pounds! It sure looks heavier in the picture!

Default stampress on sale

I agree that the Stampress looks like a cool thing to have. I'll have to wait to see one in action. A Country Welcome sent me an e-mail that has the Stampress on sale for $29.95 and also the accessories too. I've ordered from them before and you must be patient... Great prices, slow shipping. Nice customer service, not sure why they are so slow - almost a month to ship.

Funny, I saw this in a magazine just last night, and thought it was cool, but I have no jumbo wheels. I thought it would be cool if they made one just for the smaller wheels. I like it a lot though! How cool!

Funny, I was just looking at this again tonight on Clearsnap's website. (www.clearsnap.com). Maybe people should do a write-in campaign to SU--afterall, Clearsnap is the company who makes our wheels...

I have one of these too. The website led me to believe that it was for jumbo wheels only but then when I was looking at the packing material it seems to suggest that you can use smaller wheels. I'll update if that is the case.

It can be used for both Jumbo and regular. There is an adapter that you use with your reg size wheels to use them too.

I saw this tool on the back of a magazine.....Rubber Stamper maybe??? Anyway, it looked cool and I've been waiting to hear some reviews. The photo looked like you could use it to emboss on metal too. Can't wait to hear more.....

Yep, it was on the back of Rubber Stamper and looks very interesting. I don't know if it would emboss on metal, but Clearsnap sells foil strips to use with it. I'm thinking it would be a good way to emboss clay for various projects. Have any of you that own it tried that yet??

I have heard good things about ACW, but I would bet, like www.scrapforless.com , who is also a great one to do biz with, she orders on a weekly basis based on incoming orders, as opposed to trying to keep in stock product that she has no clue will sell? That's what scrapforless does, and her prices are awesome and service great, but, you do need to be patient.
