Default I don't even know the "Proper" way to store my SU stamps

I think I've mentioned that I am new to stamping and to Stampin' Up...I became a demo the other day and I don't even know what the "right" way to store my stamps is? Is it on the wood, rubber up? Or on their sides?

Or some other way that is good to store wood mounted stamps?

What about stacking?

Thanks

Erin

The suggested way is rubber up, however I have purchased many old sets, and never saw a difference in the images no matter how they were stored. The only bad thing is if they are sideways and in high heat, the adhesive can slip.

I store mine sideways so I can pull them out without messing up a pile.... but it's never over 73 in here.

mine are generally rubber down... i like to see the images when i glance at the set. sometimes i turn the little ones rubber up because they don't 'stand up' very well.

i store mine in stacks grouped alphabetically and by box size. there are as many as 8 in some stacks.

i have been stamping for several years now and have seen no ill effects.

ultimately i think it is a preference or storage issue that rules.

I store mine in stacks of 10-12 rubber side up & down, depending on how they end up in the box. I always try to keep them off their sides because my stamping room gets warm and the smaller stamps have slipped off the blocks before. Otherwise, no ill effects to report. I also used a labeler to re-label all my sets with a big font....my eyes aren't as good as they used to be and the clear labels that come w/ the stamps are hard for me to see!

The boxes they come in are so great for storing though aren't they? I too have to label them again so that I can see it!!! But as long as stamps are kept on a flat surface, I haven't had any stamp SU or not be damaged from being kept rubber down.

I honestly never knew there was a proper way other than avoiding stacking them on top of one another -

I have them in the boxes they come in and store in a drawer on their side.

I just stack the cases they come in, in a drawer. But when I revamp my craft room, I am going to copy my demo. She has a wall of pegboard, and has every set, in their cases, on their sides, resting on pegs, and leaned against the board. So when you look at the wall all you see is all the stamp backs. KWIM?

Do you all know if Stampin Up Sells empty stamp storage boxes? I really liked some of the ideas mentioned in this thread and would love to implement the same to some of the non SU Rubber mounted stamps as well.
