How funny you should ask this! I JUST completely cleaned out all my stamp stuff last night and ran into the same problem. i was thinking of trying a 12x12 paper storage? I think it's easier to see all the tags when they are not punched out. Am I making sense? I'll be watching to see what others have to say.
I have found that having the tags in full sheets, I never use them!! But when I punched them out, put them in an embroidery thread box by different shapes, and have it on the top of my table I use them all the time. Also remember after you punch them out if you save the "template" you can make more!

I punch them out and sort them by color in cheap tackle boxes. The ones from the sporting goods dept, not the craft stores! The craft stores are way more expensive for the same thing!

I use the SU! plastic cases (the ones your stamp sets arrive in?), and they are now available for purchase in the catalog (used to be demo'rs could only get blank empty ones via supplies)! They are wonderful for storing die cuts/punch outs, etc. so they don't get bent!

Well, I'm likin' Julie's idea . . . and the box would be clear and flat so I would probably be able to see them really well . . . I'm pondering that. Seems like a good solution.
Julie's right! Those empty stamp boxes come in an array of sizes and really do make storing all of those little pieces more user friendly! They are great for your wheel ink cartridges too.

I store all my tags in a plastic baseball card holder. I use one plastic holder for each color I have and then put the plastic holders in a folder. Works great. I store the folder upright in a magizine holder. I use tags alot, because can get to them so easy. Diane
I just finished putting all of my tags into one of those mini expandable coupon holders (Target has them in the $1 spot). I find that I'm actually using my tags now that I don't have to force them back into my paper storage!
Wow, you gals are smart! I've always stored mine in a 12x12 accordian folder. They tend to get caught on each other when I'm pulling them out. I've considered punching them all out and sorting by color. Maybe I'll do that! Thanks once more for some great ideas!

Okay, here's what I did. I spent a significant amount of time punching out all TWENTY FOUR tag sheets that I own. I separated by colors and put them in little baggies with the paper they match. Now I'm too tired to stamp - not! Hope it was worth it. Thanks for the inspiration.
