Oh, Steph! I ache for you!!! You aren't packing the computer, are you? You will still get your SCS fix, right? At least, when you unpack, you will have tons of inspiration and be ready to stamp, stamp, stamp!!!!
Oh Steph, I am so sorry. I'll keep all of my stamps out thinking about you and your plight. I agree, keep the box untaped for emergency purposes only. You never know when one will arise.
Steph,
My kiddies have been finished with school for a whole week, and it's just flown by. So far! Ask me again on August 1! We're here for you, trying to make the time fly by. Think of that lovely stamp room in the new house, ans store up inspiration.

12-Step Program: Never be more than twelve steps from a rubber stamp!!
1. Put a couple (not more than three) in a small (small, not large, no bigger than a shoe box). Make sure they are stamps that you mostly DO NOT use.
2. Pre-cut some cards to the size you regularily use (4 1/4x5 1/2 folded). Take envelopes.
3. Put in 4-5 Stampin' Spots that co-ordinates with your cardstock.
4. Make sure you have some co-ordinating scaps to use.
5. Take a "lap board".
6. Get in the vehicle; MAKE HB DRIVE.
7. Start stamping cards to send to everyone you've left behind in your old neighbourhood. You will NOT HAVE ANY TIME for a few weeks once you get there. This way if you are moving an hour away you will have at least 5-6 cards done. If you're moving further you'll have more done.
8. Added benefit: you'll find new ways to use those stamps, ways you never thought of before because you've been forced to.
THIS WORKS ALSO WHEN YOU'RE DOING THE "ACROSS AMERICA IN TWO WEEKS" TRIP!!!!
I wouldn't pack them till couple days before... what ya gonna do with free time? If ya hurry up and pack have a bunch of boxes sitting there your DH will think you deserve a "stamp break" lol
Please tell me you are not allowing movers to take them out of your sight? You may never see them again. I lost half my load when I moved. Fortunately for me the stamps had traveled cross country, from CA to NC in the trunk of my Nissan Sentra.
Smart girl, Steph. I love it! In your desk drawers. A woman after my own heart! Good luck with the move. My heart goes out to you. I hate moving but, oh, your beautiful new home and that lovely new stamping room. Mine is two years old-Stamping room- and it is my sanctuary. Anyway, you are in our thoughts and prayers. Just don't let the desk out of your sight! -----Kim
We just recently moved, the stamps were the last thing to be packed and the first to be unpacked! It helped with stress relief when I needed a "small" break from packing and unpacking! I NEVER want to move again!

I feel so sorry for you!! How sad to be made to pack up your stamps. But the desk drawers were really quite a great idea.
Does your dh have the week off work or will he be going in? If he goes into work - even for a little while, you could sneak in a little bit of stamping. Oops! You may not want to listen to that, I could be getting you into a load of trouble. But just one card couldn't hurt. . . .could it?
ya know...I feel like i'm in high school again...grounded from the phone.
When my mom was gone, I was on it all of the time...after dark when she went to bed........when she was home, I got off quickly. DH goes to work at 12....He is off of work on Tuesday Wednesday and Friday.
My DH made me put them on the truck from Arizona to Oregon and the truck was a week late! Almost two weeks without my stamps! DH never heard the end of it. All because he wanted some room in the car!
This is not fair...I traded stamps sets and one came into day....I will defanitely have to sneak some stamp time! Be watching for a new serigraph card....if I can get away long enough that is!
