Does anyone know if Hobby Lobby will refund you the difference if you bought items that, Of Course, went on sale the next day? Kinda like how Target will do it if it goes on sale within two weeks after you buy an item. Or, do you have to return all of your items and then re-buy them? I bought scrapbook paper, ribbon, and ink yesterday and it ALL went on sale today! I thought about waiting for a sale, but I was there and they had what I wanted! Since they aren't open today, I thought I would come to the place with all the answers!
TIA
Heather

I would think if you had your sales receipt that they would be required to refund the full price you paid. Without a receipt no store will efund you the full price of an item as they would not know whether or not you bought it on sale. If an item goes on sale within ten days or so of purchase, I believe, by law, that stores are required to give you the sale price if you request it, providing you have your sales receipt. So, I would think if you went back to Hobby Lobby with your receipt (and possibly the items) you could request that they refund you the difference between what you paid and the sales price. Then you would have bought the items on sale. Make sense?
That would be great! I still have the receipt and everything is still in the bag. I didn't get any farther than setting it on a table in my stamp room! lol It will save me about $25.00. I'm so happy! I might pick up a few more sheets now in case I screw things up! I'm making 12 to 13 paper bag scrapbooks for my dd's gymnastics team. I have 4 months to make them, but I wanted to get started on the base layers while I have the ideas in my head!
Thanks!

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I thought I saw something there once about them not refunding the difference of sale items. I've never tried to do it, but I wouldn't be surprised if they said no. It's possible I'm thinking of a different store (though HL is the only one we have here, so I'm not sure what it would be). I'd give it a try. The worst they can do is say no!
Part of their sales policy is that any returns will be refunded at the lowest price within "x" amount of time. I thought it was 30 days. So if you return the items, you will probably be refunded at the sale price. The full policy should be on the back of your receipt.

My HL must still use old cash registers. Our receipts are just plain narrow white paper with splotchy purple ink!
This happened to me....I bought an item (it was a silk tree for about $200), then the next day there was a coupon in the paper. I went to the store and asked for to receive a refund to make up the difference. At first they balked, but since I had the silk tree in my car at the time, I told them I would just return the item and then repurchase it. I figured I would save them time if they would just refund the difference. THe cashier had to call the manager, but that is what happened.
Be prepared to return the item and re-purchase. If they know you are serious then they will give you the discount.

You mean the ones that could fit on a spool of thread? I really hate those. It was only recently that our Hobby Lobby switched to a slightly more 'modernized' receipt.

Yep ours still uses that too.
Which might be a reason why they wouldn't do it- since it's just numbers they have no way of knowing what each one corresponds with.
When you are returning, they just tick off a number that's the same value as the thing on the reciept, but price matches usually have a shorter time than returns- so how do they know if it's a recent reciept or a "switch"
My guess is- you'll have to return and rebuy. Our HL is notorious for not being helpful.
My HL has never given me a problem when asking for a price adjustment. I do think you have to have the items with you...although I am unsure. But I have received price adjustments in the past. I also like it that they will give you a rain check for things that are on sale, but sell out quickly, like the tapes and glues we all love and use.
