I'm very often searching for stamp companies that have great prices and ship to the UK. I love Penny Black and house mouse stamps but don't own any - well that is until now!!
I have just placed an order with HMStamps (so large i don't want to put the amount down!:oops: ). But what i don't understand is how i didn't here of this company before!! i must be slacking
Although i have found this site i'm very interested to know what site you order your penny black and house mouse stamps from for future reference, i can see i will be addicted to these also!
If you have a HL, they carry them there too. Works great also with their 40% coupons.

I love Dick's selection of Penny Black stamps as well as others. He has great shipping time as well, which is a plus when you live in Canada. I can't get Penny Black in any of the stores I go to so I guess Dick is it for me.
I only ever get my House Mouse, Penny Black and Great Impressions from HM Stamps now. They take about 7-10 days to get to the UK and even with the shipping it's just over half price of that which I would pay at my local stamp store. I love the fact that if you preorder something he doesn't charge you for it until he actually has it in stock unlike other companies, both UK and USA based ones.
i just placed my first order with HM. GOTTA say - what a great company! just a short while after completing my order and sending payment, i realized we missed a stamp... when i contacted Dick, he told me the order was already at the POST OFFICE! now THAT's some fast shipping!

Think I'll try damage limitation but it's pay day soon & I'm always up for a bargin - even if it's a bargin I find hard to justify! Just have to find more space now to hide my purchases from my boyfriend and use the line "Oh that old thing...I've had it ages!"LOL:mrgreen:

shhh... i'm already working on my second order. just out of embarrassment, i'll wait 'til next week to send it to Dick...
I have ordered from Dick three times now and already pre-ordered some of the new stamps. He is wonderful and he really understands the stampers budget, his wife is an avid stamper. He keeps threatening to retire, we can't let him do that ladies and gents, keep him busy.
Woohoo my new stamps arrived today. I now have 16 great new stamps plus a pack of Penny Black transparent ones. I'm so excited and just hoping my little girl takes an afternoon nap so i can have a play.
I love Dick at HM stamps!!!! I love his sense of humor, love his prices, love his service....Sometimes, his emails come when my bank account can't take it, but...

pat - i'm SO glad you posted! dick must be a real sweetheart [of course, i'm married too, so there are days... well, i'm sure you know where THAT is going ]. but how nice that he understands and shares your stamping addiction! i'm a brand new, and very happy, customer!
I've been buying stamps from Dick for a few years now and no one beats his price. I keep a long list on a wish list by my desk and order a few each month. You just can't go wrong with HMstamps at all.

Hi Pat nice to 'meet' you. You are one lucky lady to be surrounded by all them stamps and i know i've said it once but will say it again - you're husband isn't just a man selling stamps, he is passionate about what he does and that really shows in his customer services. It's good to find a seller you can trust and rely on. After receiving my first order so quickly and efficiently and the help he gave me regarding postage and advice he now has himself another loyal customer. x
With all these coments and all the emails Dick has been sending me about the new stamps coming out I am in agony, I am in the process of moving and between to homes at the moment and I don't dare order anything because I am not sure where it will end up. I will be placing an order as soon as I get settled in my new home and playroom.
Pat you are one lucky lady, could you have Dick write an email to all husbands so that they have an idea about there wives addiction to stamping and maybe understand that it is not a silly thing that we do and spend money on. Thanks. Jackie
I heard about HMStamps on another thread and just placed an order from him last Thursday, it arrived on Saturday! Talk about fantastic service! I was so impressed! Yes I will be buying from him again!

HMStamps is just amazing. I ordered a BUNCH of new House Mouse stamps including some of the new releases. They shipped the NEXT day and I had them in 2 DAYS!!!!
How awesome is that??? I will be back again. And again. And again. LOL~
Oh, and too funny that his wife is a member here. What a lucky lady. I've actually thought about how cool it would be to have all those lovely stamps at your disposal. I'd be like a kid in a candy shop. :mrgreen: I'd just sit and stare.

Yes! I am overwhelmed at times with SO many images to look that I don't know which one to stamp first and I DO sit here and just look at them.

I used to feel that I was *addicted* to rubber stamps as I filled my stamp room with SO many, plus all the accessories that one MUST have to go along with them.
Well, this made me feel guilty and at one point I told myself that I need to just sell it all!
But stamping truly is a HOBBY which fulfills a need for expression of oneself and a need for giving of oneself.
When people receive my cards, it makes them smile and they know that I am thinking of them and that in turn makes me smile.
Every hobby has *supplies*.
Dick bought a $15,000 Wrangler once, and we went four-wheeling in the woods on weekends....
Our friends have a boat and camper and fishing stuff.....
I think that is all I need to say....
I ENJOY stamping....there is no right or wrong design....Every card is appreciated, and a handmade card sure beats a Hallmark card anyday!!!
