I have just spent a good part of my morning in the general gallery and I have to say that there are SO MANY wonderful cards sitting there with ZERO comments on them. There are some real gems just sitting there waiting for a comment so I am asking if you have any extra time in your day today, let's embrace the Thankfulness of this week and leave some of them a comment.
To find them, go to the bottom of the page and sort them and you will see how many of them are there.
I have noticed this as well. Some of the cards with zero comments are so great - guess it has to do with timing or something. . . I used to make it a point to comment on 5 zero cards each time I logged on. Haven't kept it up though. Need to get back to it
That's a great idea Karen!! We're all so busy right now but I bet I can find time to leave a few comments and you are so right, it's sure to make someone smile!!

I try to comment, too when I can but I think this is a great idea...to do a certain number every time you log in. Heaven knows I spend enough time on this board! I do know how good it feels when someone takes the time to tell you how special your creation is.Thanks for starting this thread Karen!
Can someone tell me how to find the ones without comments? I always try to leave comments but would love to seek out those that haven't had comments yet. For some reason I'm just not figuring out how to sort them. Thanks for your help!!
First go the to the gallery and choose last day or last 7 days.
Down at the very bottom, just below the number of pages is a box that that says Sort By.
The default, as in attached screenshot, is Posting Date.
Change that to # of comments in the drop-down list.
To get least comments first, change Descending to Ascending.
And set the date parameter too if you want more than just the last day. Then hit Sort Now.
HTH.

Thank you so much! I completely didn't see the part at the bottom until you pointed it out...I'm off to search the gallery!!
Another thing...this thread has prompted me to leave more comments than I usually do. Because of this thread, I've found the "sort" feature. Didn't even know we had it. Anyway...can you tell me how a lovely card can have 388 views and not one single comment??? I find that appalling. Karen and Cathy H. are right. There are real gems out there without comments. And, leaving comments on five "zero comment" cards each time you log on takes no time at all. Thanks for the wake-up call, Karen.
Yes, I had noticed the lack of comments too and like has been said, some have lots and lots of views but no comments. I think it's a great idea to leave 5 comments every time we log on as it doesn't take a long time. Great reminder Karen - thank you I know how good I feel when I receive a precious comment - they are like gold to me - so it's great to share it around as much as we can.
I am here with my coffee and doing just this Karen! The morning quiet is always a great time to check out the gallery goodies. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Just went through this last weeks gallery postings and left half a dozen comments. Felt good to acknowledge just a few out of so many who have put such time and effort into their craft. I couldn't beleive how some had so many view and were favorited several times but not one comment. I'll keep up on this challenge to comment.

As my best friend says, "Stamping....it's cheaper than therapy" to which I add, "Not by much".
My mom was the proud recipient of my first handmade card. Cost $200.
I always try to look at "Today's additons" in the gallery versus challenge galleries. And if a card catches my eye enough to "open" for a closer look, then I leave a comment. Figured it deserved it for just catching my eye!!
and really, 5 comments is NOTHING! I ususally try to challenge myself to look at ____number of pages.
My biggest downfall is NOT actually looking at the day's gallery. THAT needs to change! Instead of looking at the latest celeb gossip, I need to spend more time in the gallery!! hehe
I've actually started going back six months and looking at the "0" comments that have over 200 views and no comments. That is just ridiculous! How can 200 people look at something and not have one positive thing to say about it? It boggles my mind.
I will say that just keeping up with the number of cards that are downloaded each day is impossible. I cannot believe how prolific everyone is. LOL. Some people are like mini card making factories! I should be so fortunate!
Really, people, I think I'm starting to get upset about the whole gallery thing. I just found two cards...one with 730 views and the other with 469...and NOT ONE COMMENT. How can this be?
One was adorable and the other was a "sea-faring" type card and it was terrific. Is it that everyone has become so used to seeing "2 lb. cards" [which I LOVE...don't get me wrong] that they can't appreciate the effort that other style of card makers use? I don't know...I'm a bit jaded about the whole thing. My cards sure don't measure up to the "elite" of SCS, but I love doing them. I'm sure all our members love papercrafting or they wouldn't be here.
I can see why lots of people choose NOT to upload their cards. I know from experience that it leaves you feeling like your stuff isn't measuring up when no one comments. On the other hand, like I said earlier, just keeping up with the sheer volume of the cards uploaded each day is almost impossible.

Don't forget, some of those cards may not have any comments, but they may have been favourited (not really a word, but for lack of a better one). Many of my cards have been put into someone's favourites multiple times, but no comments. When I first started posting cards, I used to get discouraged as I would get so few comments, if any. I used to think that many of my cards/projects sat in my gallery unloved. But, if you take into account the number of times they have been added to someone's favourites, then it all balances out. One of my recent Christmas cards has been viewed 725 times, favourited 15 times, but has not one single comment. Another has been viewed almost 1400 times, favourited 9 times, and has only two comments. So, in my thinking, my Christmas card has 15 comments, and my other one has 11 comments - two of those with actual words.
I myself have been guilty of favouriting without commenting, so I can't judge (glass houses and all!). But you are right, it only takes a few seconds to leave a comment. I am going to try to make 5 comments each time I log in on "unloved" cards. I know it really makes my day when I see that someone has taken the time to let me know my work is appreciated, so I will endeavour to do the same.

Back to the gallery...
I agree...with the sheer number of cards uploaded everyday it is difficult but we can all do our little part in changing that.....
