Default Help with unmounted stamps

I am in the process of unmounting my stamps and putting them on ezmount. But my issue is my new stamps that have not been mounted to wood yet. Can I buy just the static cling sheets and put them on the foam that the SU stamps come on and use them on acrylic blocks or how do all of you do it when you get new stamps? Im glad that SU is doing the cling mount and I will buy them when I have the chance but need to know how to do this on the current catalog stamps. Thanks for your help

I put the sticker directly onto the gray foam and trim it, then use a LIGHT coating of Tack it over and Over to make it sticky. (practically free this way) I then can use my unmounted stamps right onto the clear blocks this way.

Others can help you with the cling sheet question.

Cling can be purchased at Sunday International, you will find it under ezmount and all of the way to the bottom of the page. It is $1.29 for a 81/2 X 10 sheet.

You can buy the Thin Ez-mount foam to go with your Stampin up stamps. This will work better with the SU foam.

If you use the other ez-mount foam it is a little thicker and will make your stamp unstable. I try this once. And I ended up with using the Thin Ez-mount foam.

You can find the thin foam at Sunday International Right now they are out of Stock, But it looks like the will have some at the end of Feb.

Here is how you mount your stamps using the Ez-mount foam

If you have a Hot Knife you can use it to cut around your Rubber Stamp

I pull the SU foam off and remount it onto the normal thickness of EZ mount. It is very easy and only rarely takes a bit more effort to get the back of the rubber die clean. I don't put them into the microwave either to melt the glue holding the foam to the rubber die. Simply peel a little bit of rubber edge back from the grey foam and if it comes away cleanly, keep pulling. Often they come away nice and cleanly. Sometimes there is some residue left from the grey foam on the back of the rubber. Just rub this with a finger and usually it comes away easily. I have only had problems with the residue left on the back of the rubber die once but it still came off with a little elbow grease in the end!

I personally did not like the plain cling for my not-yet-mounted stamps. Initially, I unmounted all my stamps and put them on EZMount. Any new stamps went on the cling. It didn't work for me so I just unmounted those as well and put them on EZMount, which I prefer to bare. I love that SU is giving the option now. Good luck. I love the unmounted stamp life.

My experience is the same as monkeygirl above. I bought cling film to use on the sticky foam on the SU stamps. I consider it a waste. It doesn't stick well at all.

For my not yet mounted stamps I went to J's and bought 4 gauge clear vinyl from their fabric section for $2.50 a yard, stuck my stamp to that with the already sticky side and cut it out. It's exactly like what they have on the ez-mount, only way cheaper. And if you want to put it on stamps that aren't sticky on the foam you just put tombow multi mono adhesive glue on the back of the foam, let it dry, then attach it to the vinyl.

I like this way so much better because for $2.50 I was able to unmount all my stamps instead of paying the ridiculous price for ez-mount

Amother vote for peeling the foam off of the new sets. I tried the thin ezmount with the su foam and ended up taking both off and using regular EZmount.

Ok bear with me ladies. I love SU wood block stamps but I bought a lot of about 800 unmounted stamps. I am confused how to use the ez mount. I was trying it directly on the clear block because I have so many stamps and don't want to mount them all but it doesn't seem to work very well. I am thinking of selling the lot but if there was an easy way to use them I would keep them. I need convincing and help! Thanks in advance.
