Default Help suggestions needed for an unique card

What type of card would you make for a celebration of living in the U.S. for 40 years? The couple moved here from Cuba and is having a reception to celebrate. Sentiment? TIA for any ideas.

Cool idea. My mom moved here from Cuba when she was 12 years old and has been here since! Are you looking for something more US patrotic or Cuban Cultured?

My mother asked me to make this card because the couple goes to church with them. The reception is being held at the chuch. I don't have a clue... patrotic or Cuban cultured, ideas for either.

Why not something along the lines of 'Celebrating 40 Years of Freedom'?

what popped into my head is to stamp with Star Spangled Banner

Stamp each flag on a square of Whisper White.
Mount in a two-up, two-down pattern, set back about 3/4 inch (all measurements are guess-timates!) from the left and 3/4 inch down from top, 3/4 inch up from bottom from top of your Real Red CS card (regular size) .
Print or stamp/emboss either a "forty" or "Celebrating 40 years in America" about 3 inches down on a piece of 3 X 4 vellum, attach the vellum to the card (Covering the flags)with SU!'s star eyelets.
Make a vertical bow w/wide blue/royal organdy on the 3/4 inch of Real red that doesn't have the mounted squares and vellum.

This is all just in my head, so I hope it does work. I think I am going to have to stamp it tomorrow and see!

p.s. I sure hope I am not repeating something from the gallery, I don't think so but I have been on there so much lately I am not sure if I am giving you an original or not.....

Wink Shaped card

The first thing I thought of was a card shaped like the US. Put an eyelet/arrow saying you are here or been here for 40 years. Embellishments to go on the places they have been or travels made.

Card with US and Cuba on it with fibers/eyelets tracking move from Cuba to US. Can't think of anything to say for that one.

Shaker card with US background with 40's confettii for shake over where they live.

That's all I have for now

maybe you can make a little mini book, with events from 40 years ago, you often see that sort of stuff for a person's birthday year or anniversary!!!
