Default Help with Karen Foster snap stamps

I keep seeing them used on cards here and of course I have to now have them. I like the fact that I can spell out any word AND the word is always straight.

For those of you who use them... What size and which font do you recommend.
Thanks!

I really like 1/4" for cards....I found 1/8" to be really tiny. I got the casual font...more my style.

I guess I would start with 1/4" or 1/2" and see how they work for you.

HTH!

Are there only two fonts - casual and formal?

Yes, I found them both on the Karen Foster site. I'll buy the Casual 1/4" but now I need to search for the best price.

They're on sale now, but they don't have the 1/4" casual. Bummer!

The 1/8" casual is my favorite. I have 2 sets of that size so I can spell out more phrases without having to take the words apart.

I also have 1/8" formal and 1/4" casual. I have hardly used the 1/4" size at all so far.

You will love them - whichever you decide on.

I remember reading elsewhere on the site that the letters are far apart on the larger sets. Some people seemed to think they were too far apart. Any opinions?

I went to the gallery and put "snap stamps" in the search field and a ton of pages came up
Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

I didn't look through them all, so not sure if they all really use snap stamps but that should give you some ideas.

I think this one shows 1/4" size

Here's another one with a larger size 1/4" or 1/2"? Not sure

1/8" and 1/4" casual font are the two I use the most. I actually bought two sets of the 1/8". I did use the 1/8" formal with the Happy Everything happy stamp. I liked it a lot.

I have both the 1/8" and 1/4" casual. This card is what prompted me to get both. Be careful with the 1/8". They are tiny. I broke one and glued it back together with Crystal Effects

I have a couple sets of the 1/8 casual like Jami mentioned, they are great. I was going to order the1/4 as well but the gals said the spacing is too far apart on the letters. Later, someone posted they simply trimmed their 1/4 set to be porportioned better!!!

I have the 1/4" casual, 1/8" casual, and 1/8" formal. I tend to use the 1/8" casual the most, but I do like to sue them in combo with the 1/4" casual. Clear as mud??

I love, love, LOVE my snap stamps. My complaints so far are 1) on longer words sometimes the word doesn't stay straight and 2) I'd love it if they had connectors on the top/bottom too so you could make your phrases evenly spaced when on multiple lines. Anyways, here are a few cards from my gallery that uses them...

Enjoy!

I have the 1/8 and 1/4 in casual and use them both a lot (maybe the 1/8 a little bit more). I also have the 1/2" in casual and formal and NEVER use them - maybe because I'm not a scrapper and they're more suited for scrapbook pages.

Wow, I love Jane's idea - wish they'd redesign to allow connections above and below words, as I do have problems double-lining them at times.

I got all of mine at JoAnn.com when they were on sale, with free shipping, too!

When I need to have 2 or more rows of words, I use a small glue dot to hold one row to the other while i stamp! Them remove the glue dot when done!.

The 1/8" are small, but good for tags, little tight spaces. The 1/4" is used the most, but then the 1/2" puts that *word* out there to see when you need it!

I say, get them all! I am even thinking about the 1" for scrapbooking!

The 1/8" is perfect for using with the word window punch! I have both the 1/8" & 1/4" and I use the 1/8" casual the most. I bought 2 sets of both sizes in the casual so I can make phrases or complete sentences without running out of letters. They are wonderful!

I like to use the 1/2 for when I want one letter by itself or for when I need large letters. I just used them on a 3 x 3 card to make one letter much bigger then the others, but I always slide all my other letters close together. I also used them on some nugget candies in a nugget box for the word happy birthday

I have the mini (1/8") formal and absolutely love them. Even full price I feel that they are a great deal! I have been trying to get the mini casual from my local scrapbook store (where I bought the other set) but they have been backordered for like, forever! Me thinks they have been too popular on this site!!!
