Default HELP, ink pad problem

I often apply ink directly to the edges of my cards using the ink pad. Several pads have come unglued from the container. I have tried several adhesives, but nothing seems to hold. Does anyone have a suggestion for re-attaching the sponge to the case?
I have all the SU mini cubes and they seem to be a bigger problem than the full size.
thanks, Bobbi

I have had a similar problem and have used either Tacky Glue, or a thin layer of hot glue which I add to the case...and then press the ink pad down on it.

I had this happen with a little cat's eye one, I used glossy accents and it's still stuck months later.

Thank you for both answers. I didn't try either hot glue or glossy accents but I will tomorrow.
