I am in desperate need of this one certain jelly bean poem, I downloaded a pic of it a couple of years ago, and didnt save the poem.... this is what I can read from the scan... Speckled is for the stain of sin. Red is for blood, my salvation He'd win. Blue is for babtism, when faith I received. White is for cleansing of sin- I believe! Green is for studying His word, So I'll grow. Yellow is.....
Well that is all that I can read, not sure if yellow is the last color in the poem, or how it ends....
So If you have this poem, could your PLEASE send it to me! I need it tonight/tomorrow morning....
The Jelly Bean Prayer
RED is for the blood he gave
GREEN is for the Grass he made
YELLOW is for the sun so Bright
ORANGE is for the edge of Night
BLUE is for the sins we made
WHITE is for the grace he gave
PURPLE is for his hour of sorrow
PINK is for our New Tommorrow
A bag full of Jelly Beans, colorful and sweet.
Is a Prayer, Is a Promise, Is a Special Treat!
Ladies... I have these poems already, but I was looking for the specific one I typed in.... I think I might have gotten it off of sudsol, but I am no longer a member of that site... It was posted by a susan eubnaks? eubanks? I cant read her last name...
So, I found the following link, http://calvaryunitedmethodist.org/vi...%3F&Size=large and without reading all of it, it looks like your poem ends, 'Yellow is for the promise of heaven where one day Ill go." If you scroll down just a little, you'll find the poem written into the text, just explained a little more. It's in the paragraph that starts, "Let me tell you what each jellybean means." Hope that helps!
crafymamma and chocoholic you are both awesome! I have to bring treats to the small group I belong to at church and this works in just perfect! Thank you both for the posting. I'm not even sure how I found this to begin with.....must be the hand of God.
