Hi Guys! OK, so I have some Christmas money and I'm looking to buy some stamp sets. Problem is I don't know what to buy. What stamp sets are you guys into right now? Or, what stamp company(s) do you like right now? Anything is helpful.... I just want to find some stamps! (Like I need more.) HA!
Thanks,
CluelessC

I think SU has Sale a bration coming up.
I like Whipper Snapper (they have new stamps coming out at the end of the month-they aren't all sets-some are single images)
SkyNacho: I prefer none. I have them all and use them all. However, I do like colored photos on wood mounted stamps.
That makes it harder and easier at the same time. I think that whipper snapper does color its images on the stamps.
I just bought some new stamps from Flourishes, Lawn Fawn, and Some Odd Girl. Those are all clear stamps.
Oh, AMuse put out its retiring list, and the stamps on it are 30% off. You do need a representative to order through so if you don't know one, I'm happy to give you a name. (Not me.) They're cling rubber.
If you want to shop for quotes, I suggest Verve. Aside from my SU stamps, most of my quote stamps are from Verve (clear). They have a large selection of Christian/Bible sentiments, but there are plenty of secular ones, depending on your preference.
Penny Black are also coloured decals on wood mount, and I know that the Stampabilities Peanuts stamps are . WhipperSnapper do offer that option, but I always buy the clingmount for cheaper postage, sniff.
It's a shame you didn't post a few days ago when the Shop Hop was on with the member companies here - I took advantage of that to get my first The Cat's Pajamas stamps at a great price. Now I'm looking forward to getting them inky this week. The only sad thing was discovering my favourite one was retired :-(.
But if you don't "need" more stamps - I'd keep my money till I saw something I really wanted, instead of feeling I had to spend it now.
I'd have to think of a specific use for the stamp set before I buy it. I seriously use lots of birthday stamps. Close To My Heart has "Card Chatter" sets that are fun. They have sayings that can go on the front and inside of the card.
I'm with Sabrina. I'd wait until something really caught my eye.
Maybe you'll see a card made with a set you like. Then look through the Gallery or use Google Images to see what else can be done with it.
There's nothing better than getting a new set that turns out to be really useful and well loved. And it's such a drag when you buy something and then wonder later why you did!

bradley's_mom: I'll definitely look forward to the Sale a Bration. I'll also check out Whipper Snapper.
pjl-ny: I'm always needing a saying that I don't have.... Might buy some more.
snowcountry311: Thanks! I might also check for classes at local art stores.
SkyNacho: I prefer none. I have them all and use them all. However, I do like colored photos on wood mounted stamps.
... try going to the section here on splitcoast. the title "get it together"
once there search for a "thread" from NC, there are a few.
then just pop on and introduce yourself. say what town/area you live in--you might just have a stamping friend around the block.
take advantage of Stampin Up's Sale-a-bration
order from SweetnSassy Stamps, they just had a new release and I want everything (though I'll probably just get 2 or 3 sets)
order from Gina K., she has a new release coming up this week and I'm really liking the sneak peaks so far
I also like Verve, but I'm not sure when their next release is.

It depends on whether you want to just stamp or be more creative. Stampin Up is great for stamping. If you want to color (Copics or some other medium) Sugar Nellie, Sarah K., House Mouse, Flourishes, etc.

Me too! It's one of my MOST USED STAMP SETS. I also like Papillon Potpourri and the coordinating punches. I think the stamp/punch sets are just so much fun to use, and they are quick and easy.
Have you thought of looking at Pinterest boards for things that you like? I have a bunch of boards that might give you some ideas of stamps you'd like to have.
