Default Has anyone ever ordered from Stamp Camp?

The company Stamp Camp, not the SU class concept...

I ordered a $15 set from them on March 16 and it has not been shipped yet. That's almost 9 weeks ago. On March 30 I wrote an email asking about it and got this email the next day...

"Hi Erin,

Your order has not shipped yet. I've had a stamp show every weekend this month and leave tomorrow for a show in Holland. When I get back from that one I will get caught up on orders.

Thanks for your patience!"

I wrote again this week and got no reply, and so I just wrote again. I really want what I ordered, I think this is horrible customer service, and I am just wondering if anyone else had this experience with them or not?

My CC has not been charged yet.

Erin

I have not ordered from them before, but I think the ONLY way that is acceptable is if they told you about this "delay" before you ordered ... as in, it was noted on their website ... that is a LONG time to wait for stamps ... any stamps, no matter where they are coming from.

I've ordered from Stamp Camp in the past and not had any problems.

I can say that I have seen Stamp Camp at various shows and she seems to be a "one man" operation.

I will tell you that I really like the stamps I have gotten from her. Not sure if you will feel they are worth the wait, but they are good stamps.

I don't understand the concept of promoting your business every weekend when you can't handle your current customer orders. I get my knickers in a twist if I have to wait a week for something to ship! 9 weeks...hah! That's comedy. I would cancel it.

Me too. I just canceled several backordered blouses. It's only been two weeks, but that's long enough for me! There are lots of other companies that can get me a shirt in under two weeks. I won't wait.

Hi Erin,

Mary Kay is the sole owner, rubber presser, designer, seller, computer guru, order facilitator, and chief bottle washer at Stamp Camp. In her spare time she is doing conventions every week , and I think there were two European ones this spring.

The website has the convention schedule on it, but I am really sorry you have been disappointed and have to wait so long. If you tell me which set it was , I might have it in my stash..

I am expecting to see Mary Kay at the Springfield MA show in June and could also check then.

Betsy, Not affiliated, but a BIG Fan.. Can't wait to see what new stamps I must add to my collection..

Betsy,

The set I am after is called "Children Are" it's a alphabet/quote set. I am hesitant to cancel, because I really want the set, but want to know when to expect it and communication.

I would definitely cancel that order. That's just no way to run a business. I am particularly appalled by two European trips while someone's order is sitting there for over two months.

I have read similar posts about Stamp Camp here in the past. It's a shame, as they do carry some really great images. I've bought at local stamp shows, but knowing about the shipping delays, I'd never order from the company online.

I agree that a way for the company to improve its service would be to let customers know up front that internet orders are the bottom of the priority list and will be delayed while they're going to shows.

Yes, I have talked to her at several shows. She is a one-woman operation (she presses her own stamps) and they are very high quality. And she does travel. The delay seems outrageously long, but if she hasn't charged you , I don't see that any real harm has been done. No one likes to wait, but if you really want the set, why cancel?
