Default Glitter Windows

I received a card from a friend that is just so lovely. She used packing tape and glitter, to create a window effect card.

I have found info on the technique on the Web (Splitcoaststampers-Glitter Window Technique Tutorial and really want to do this technique, but I am wondering is the glitter is stuck on well enough to be able to use this technique when I make cards for Operation Write Home (the cards are for the troops to send back to families). Most of my cards go there.

Can this tech stand alone, or should I add something like crystal effect on top ?

Any suggestions will be helpful.

I could be wrong, but I thought that I read in a few magazines, that they can not accept cards with glitter on them.

You might want to contact that organization to verify their requirments.

Thanks for response - they are now accepting some types of glitter paper. These types of paper are where the glitter is embedded in the paper.

But I am unsure whether the stickly side of the packing tape will hold it tight enough, hence my question.

It should but if you are unsure maybe give it a quick spray of hairspray ? I have used that to hold my Peal EX and the have been sent from one end of the country to the other with no problems ! it does not change the color or hide the sparkle !
