I have been loving the stamps coming out from this company.....I do not own any....yet.....
Is there a thread just for Flourishes? Or does anyone want to start a chat just about these stamps?
Hello, it's nice to meet a fellow Flourishes lover! I just found them myself about 4 months ago and I've been an absolute fan since then. I have many favorite stamp companies, but Flourishes is my Absolute Favorite company!! What is your favorite stamp set? I really can't pick any one, I love them all!!
Hope to see you around
Has anyone had any trouble with random spots in their flourishes stamps that leave voids in the stamped image? I have the forest of trees set, and for whatever reason, when I ink up the largest (and most beautiful) tree, although it looks like the entire image is inked (and I take extra care to ensure that there is enough ink), when I stamp it down, there are two or three areas where the ink just doesn't seem to transfer to the paper. I have tried cleaning the stamp with warm soapy water, patting to dry, I have tried wiping with baby wipes, and I have tried traditional stamp cleaners, all to no avail. I have also tried using dye ink, chalk ink, and pigment ink (Distress Inks and Versa Colour) with the same results. Any thoughts? I love this stamp set, but am getting very frustrated with this. Unfortunately, I did buy this second hand from an online company that was going out of business, so I don't have any original proof of purchase to pursue with Flourishes directly. Plus, it is discontinued, so I can't even get a replacement if I wanted to.

have you looked at your stamping surface...i.e. are you stamping on paper that is flat on a standard table? are you using a "stamp pad" under your paper (i use an inque boutique pad under my papers)? some stamps really need a consistent/even surface underneath the stamp, often times this is not really visible to us, the stamper. if you don't have a foam pad (no idea what these are actually called), try placing several layers of paper underneath what you are trying to stamp on or a cutting pad/mat with a sheet of cardstock underneath your paper you are stamping on...hope this helps!

I find that with larger images I have to put pressure on the intire image not just the 4 corners of the block. Look to see were the voids are and put some pressure in these areas, but not to heavy as the image might blur then. Hope this helps you out!
