Flourish weekend event
I was so fortunate to be able to attend the First Annual Flourish weekend. What a wonderful experience. We were treated like royalty from the minute we arrived. On Saturday morning Faith, "Markie's Mom' entertained us and had three cards for us to make, of course we learned how to the "dots" that she uses and they were so much fun and beautiful cards. She's also a nut and tons of fun!!! Saturday afternoon Becca, "Amazingpapergrace" showed us how to CASE her style of elegance and lots of bling. Gorgeous cards with beautiful bows and elegant finishes. Sunday morning we had time to explore Pensacola and enjoy the vistas, beautiful area and wonderful restaurants. Sunday afternoon Jan Marie, Flourish 1 taught techniques and more cards and they were wonderful as well. She taught us how to "get into the designers heads" and see how a card is made. That evening we had a color theory class with the copics teacher Marianne, great ideas and techniques and then on Monday we all took the certification class as well. It was a weekend filled to brim with gorgeous cards, techniques and meeting and making new friends and having a blast at the same time. Don't miss out if they do this again!!! The owners of Flourish went WAY over the top to make sure we had a fabulous time and learned so many new things. Nancy and Sharon are great co-owners as well and even Jan's Hubby Mike was a sweetie and helped out all weekend. It was wonderful experience and one we will not forget!!!
