Default First Stamp or Set?

Since we're goign down memory lane in a couple of other threads, I thought it would be fun to find out which stamp/sets got you started.

My first stamp was a paw print, then a Weimaraner stamp. But I rarely used them. I think my first SET was Pretty Princess.

Mine was a ristra of chili peppers which I heat embossed over our stove many, many times for handmade Christmas cards when I was about 15 I still have the stamp.

My first "official" stamp set was SU's Favorite Friends in 2005.

My first stamp set was SU's Holiday Hanna, which I still have, along with, ahem, a few others.

My first stamp set was Welcome, Little One and the baby feet wheel from SU back in 2005. I made my youngest son's birth announcements with them. I still have them!

First stamp set...
I had to go and look... oldest set is some kind of nature one from 1998 (SU). It has a mound of grass, a tree, and some other things. I think it's Sensational Scenery.

My first stamp was (not surprisingly) a corgi.

Oh, good question. But I honestly don't know. I know it was from Stampin Up. The gal demonstrated a set but it was no longer available but I fell in love with it and had to hunt it down!

Another 2005'er! I bought SU's Feathered Friends. There are four stamps I really liked and a couple I didn't.

I still really like those images, but have rarely used them. Strange.
There is a cool wicker chair, birds on a branch, baby clothes on a clothesline and a grapevine type wreathe.....all images I still love.

I should challenge myself to use them!

My Mom bought me a Strawberry stamp and a little red stamp pad from a gift shop back in the 80's.

First Stamp Paw Print.. My DD was a Cheerleader and I bought the Stamp and a green craft ink pad and stamped about 15 gift bags for goody bags...The ink didn't dry...I went back to the store and complained about the defective ink....A lady that was a stamper overheard me...and embossing gun and powder were purchases and the rest is history.... First set...was the word set that had 4 stamps with bold words in the center of a square with the definitions all around the the words. I remember one word was celebrate I started my SU addiction in 2006.

When I first started stamping I went to classes and it was about a year or so after that when I started buying my own stamping supplies. I ended up buying a big lot of SU items on ebay. It had ink pads, stamps, cardstock, markers, etc. I remember mint melody and some of the old, old colors that came in that lot. I can't remember what stamps sets there were though.

Bird on a Branch! Then I sold it, but thought I should keep it for a sentimental reasons so I bought another! Ha! Story of my stamping career, poor decisions on poor decisions!

Mine was a dr. seuss set and a teddy bear set, foam mounted. Then once I discovered SU a couple months later I had to have the holiday hedgehogs set. I still have the first card I made for my hubby, a teddy bear stamped onto colored card stock using gold ink LOL.

Hmm, I'm not too sure which was the first, but it wasn't Stampin' Up as I didn't get introduced to them until around 2000.
My best guess is a set of Suzy Zoo stamps I bought sometime in the 90's.

I think, after reading all of these, that I may have a snoopy stamp somewhere lurking in my childhood room. If it's there, it's in my vanity drawer. Will have to look next time I go to see my dad.

My first stamp is a bear. It came from Hallmark. My aunt Doris gave it to me. My first SU set has a cat in it, but no year stamped on bottom. I have no idea what set it's from. SU stamps are terribly addicting.
