Default Envelope question

Today I made one of the star/triangle cards. The envelopes I have are to small. I do have directions someone posted here too make different size envelopes but it doesn't have the measurements for something that large. My question is how do you mail them & or do you have instructions on how to make one. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Here is a great tutorial for making envelopes for any size card, with little or no measuring. Scroll down a bit to see the larger envelope if that's what you need.

There's a very similar envelope in the Tutorials here to the one Bugga posted: Splitcoaststampers - Tutorials
I use it all the time for odd shaped cards.

If your card is as thick as the ones I make, you will also have to figure that into the mailing. If it's over 1/4" plus the odd sized envelope, it will be best to hand it to the clerk and she can figure the postage. I usually include mine with the gift, so I haven't mailed one yet.

Thanks. I'll have to try & figure it out. They are pretty & I thought they could make beautiful Christmas cards as well. I found some really neat paper at AC Moore.

I figured something out. I took 2 pieces 12x12 paper and cut it to be 7 1/2 x 8 1/2. On one piece I cut a 1/4 inch off on the 7 1/2 side. In used double sided heavy tape. It fit perfectly. Not sure how much it would be to mail. One piece of paper didn't work.
