If you are Jewish or plan on sending Hanukkah (Chanukah etc.) cards to your Jewish friends or co-workers remember this year Hanukkah start at sundown on December 4th, 2007 and ends on the day of December 12th. Hanukkah is a VERY minor Holiday, but lots of people still like to send cards. If you do not have any Jewish themed stamps a generic Seasons Greeting card can always be used and sent any time during the holiday season!
OH, how could I forget? I've already begun my annual tradition - racing around like a headless chicken looking for the missing box of Chanukah decorations. *sigh*
I tried to make a Chanukah card with only Stamp-By-Step products... I used a candle from the Mini Party set from Stampendous and Star of David 2 from Shalom Scrapper for the background. Other cardstock is DoubleMates and ColorMates.

Thanks for answering my question before I even asked! My sister married into a Jewish family and so I try to get it right. As for being a minor holiday, not to my 4 year old nephew!

Wanted to post that I loved these Judaic stamps from Outlines - I ordered them last Tuesday and received today - in one week - and still well before Hanukkah! Thanks so much for posting these cards and making me aware of this company.
you're very welcome! I first saw Outlines at the stamping show in Rhinebeck NY several years ago. The people at the booth were so helpful and friendly. This was the first time I bought their stamps but I always wanted some. The rest of the stamps on the Web site are also gorgeous.

Thanks for the reminder. When I realized Chanukah was a week away I panicked! Then hit my supplies and made my cards today - I posted them in my gallery - very little stamping, sticker and embellishment use. Love the samples here too.
I know Hanukkah is coming soon but just have to tell you about the cutest stamps I found yesterday at The Ink Pad in NYC.
They're the Karen Stolper line from American Art Stamp.
I bought the menorah and the dreidel (watch when searching on the site, they spell it wrong): http://americanartstamp.com/cart/ind...eyword=menorah
The woman in The Ink Pad said they are new this year. I have one stamp from this line of a girl with flowers. I never saw them anywhere else.
I'm running to get my hair cut this morning and then doing cards all day. I'll try to post today or Monday.

Thanks for posting these! I was in the store a few weeks ago and did not see these!! Do you have a good source for a elegant/classic "Happy Hanukkah" sentiment? Do you prefer Hanukkah or Chanukah --spelling wise?
I'm disappointed with myself that I'm so behind, but I'll have to use snap stamps which won't look so good....

I also got my Have a Happy Hanukkah stamp at The Ink Pad --- I could've sworn it's from Zum Gali Gali company but when I looked on that site I didn't see it there, and there's no mark on the stamp.
Hope this is helpful! If you are making cards please link to your gallery!

Reason: typo
Check out my blog - I've been collecting links for a while to purchase Jewish stamps... theyre hard to find sometimes
Shayla-I have your blog opened right now and have added it to my Google Reader.
Thank you very much for putting it together -- soo helpful!
Merryf-Thanks for the links -- I will check these all out!!
I actually live 10 min from Brookline Too bad she doesn't have a store - I love to see things IRL!! I will have to look closer at the Ink Pad next time I'm in the city. I just couldn't get over the prices there. I guess it's NYC right??
Yeah, the prices at Ink Pad are a little bit high. I only go there once in a blue moon, or if I'm already in the city. The price does reflect the high rent of the East Village. But I've reconciled it in my head this way: There's so many stamps in one place, organized by theme so it's easy to see what there is for a specific card you're making. And, the people that work there are very helpful. Plus, if you buy online there's shipping costs -- so I always feel that the stamp price at the Ink Pad has the shipping cost built in. Also, if you sign up on their web site, each month there's a coupon for a free something if you spend $35. And, you're in NYC, so there's so much more to do than just go to the store and leave. And, there's a fabulous sandwich shop one block up on the other side of the street. I always go there after shopping.
And, on summer weekends there's a farmer's market in the pocket park across the street with all sorts of good things.
The only thing I never buy there is ink pads. Too expensive. I can find the same ones, mostly, at Mikes or AC Moore.

Yes, I am so excited for Chanukah! I took a picture for you guys to see here: Ready for Chanukah by stamping_jen at Splitcoaststampers
I didn't have time to make Chanukah cards this year because I was too busy trying to get all my brother's birth announcement cards done in time to get out in the mail today. I uploaded a picture of the announcements and it is 2 pictures over from the Chanukah picture so check it out and let me know what you think.
