I HAVE to put my things away. It drives me nuts to see things out of place. But if you could see my room right now....you would call me a liar. I am in the middle of reorganization and it appears hurricane Emily has stopped in for a visit. I promise that I will not be going to bed tonight until EVERYTHING is put away!
I have to put my things away, I don't have a stamping space, I use my dining room table. With 4 kids, ages 7 and under, I can not leave anything out. As soon as I use a stamp, I clean it, and put it in the case. But I don't put all my stuff away till I'm done. Even if I had my own space, I'd put my stuff away, but it would be nice to have one permanent spot for it all.
I always put my stuff away as soon as I am done. I have a stampin' room, but can't stand clutter. The only things I leave out every now an then is maybe a project htat I am not sure about. I will leave it propped on the desk and leave. Later when I walk back into the room, I can usually quickly pick out what it is in need of to be complete. I love a clean and tidy stamp room. It just screams...Get Creating and Have Fun!!!
I should NEVER put stuff away. I went on vacation a couple of weeks ago and I wanted everything cleaned up so I spent all day putting things away. Now I am home and I want to make some envelopes and I cannot find my kreate-a-lope anywhere. I have been searching for it for two days. From now on I am leaving all my stuff out.
My stamp table can fill up faster than if Shanons Hurrican Emily just stopped by for destruction. So I have to take time to stop and clean up.
If Im in the middle of a project and its bed time then I see no reason to put it all away just to drag it all out again in the morning. My stamp room is upstairs at the end of the hall so no one sees it unless I take them to it. It just bothers me if it gets messy!
I do keep all my main tools like scissors, bone folder, markers, stamp positioner etc. in containers that fit on a lazy Susan so its always on the table, close at hand. I picked it up for a dollar at a garage sale.

what??? I came and destroyed your stamp room???? I used to be neat...then I got my own room and leave it all out. I put stamps back in their boxes and it isn't too messy, but there may be 30 stamp sets stacked around the tables.
I am a messy stamper. I try to keep up with it, but, whenever I try to clean up, I'll pick something up to put it away, and an idea will hit me. When that happens all my good intentions go out the window! I guess I'd much rather stamp than straighten up!
Every so often I will manage to put everthing back in its place, but then I seem to lose my creative drive until the clutter builds again! Luckily I have a stamping room, so that I can close the door and keep the cats and grandchildren out (and the mess in!).

I said yes to the poll...but I don't pick up until I am done my stamping or scrapping session. Sets are cleaned and re-boxed as I go, but then I toss them on the floor in front of the bookcases that I store them in so I can put them away in the right spots...yes, I'm that anal. Each stamp set has a certain location. I just spent another 50$ on stuff to keep my things organized (I just added it on to the air conditioner I bought at WaslMart courtesy of dh...sssshhhhhhh!!!)
I put that yes because I have to be organized but that isn't really it. I clean it up because my Stamp room is also my living room and so I go crazy if the stuff is left out. To messy!

I voted no way, because I make so many cards i don't put anything up until I know I 'm done with it...I'm not going to take it out each day...I just make sure I have cleaned it well and I organize my stamping area a alittle...

After every project I have to start with a clean palette or my creativity is hindered. I have to put all ink pads, stamp sets and cardstocks away...it's just a wierd thing...I know.
Since I use the kitchen for my stuff I have to clean up a little. I stamp better when everthing is cleaned up, however that is not always the case. I am usually interupted by one of my "cherubs" so do not finish things at one stamping session. I also usually have "help" when I stamp. My 22mo old love to stack the stamps and then knock them down--so I have to have extra stamps out for her.
If I had my own space I know I'd almost never clean up.
I like to put my things away, but this summer, I have HAD to! I have had a niece staying with me and it is so crowded in my stamp room (I mean bedroom) that when we stamp I have to put things out on the beds! Normally, it is very easy because all of my things are in such order that I really don't even have to look at what drawer I am reaching into. This is really weird, though, because I am not known for my organizational skills!
