Arrow Do You Sell Your Cards on Ebay or Etsy? Gift store?

While looking for stamp sets I couldn't help but notice SO MANY handstamped/handmade cards on Ebay and Etsy. Some of the sale counts were pretty high on some of these. I'm thinking about this avenue and wonder if anyone has had good luck doing this? Pros/Cons? Anything to be aware of?

And when you buy a card ... do you just stick it in an envelope and mail it to the person like that? I'd be horrified if something was injured on the journey to its new home.

Or do you work with a local shop and sell things on consignment?

I've had folks ask to buy my cards ... I just don't know what kind of sales outlet would work best. I'm hoping for some ideas!

Thanks for any feedback ... I appreciate it!

I found a great outlet for my cards. A local area has antique stores and different independent boutique stores in old. A friend of a friend makes pens and has a shop where he sells them, as well as high end manufactured pens, refills and other accessories. I approached him about my cards and he loves them. He buys them from me outright, 20 or 30 at a time. It works really well for me, and sales have been good. I give him occasional duplicates, but most are one of a kind.

In the same way you have to be ready to accept that cards you give people can end up in the trash...once you sell it, you need not to worry about it. We have no way to control how people mail cards they buy from us.

What I do is sometimes I include a very thin piece of foam like I saw in commercial cards which you can buy by sheets in packing material sections that I cut down to A2 size. I might also have a note on the clear envelope it's in to address the envelope before putting the card in.
