Default Do you have a Mac?

If you do, what photoshop software program do you use? I want to buy Adobe, but it is so expensive.

Any comments on your particular program with Mac?

Why don't you get the Photoshop Elements 4 program and use it for awhile? It does a lot of the same things that Photoshop does with a lot smaller learning curve. It also cost a lot less. I have both programs and use Photoshop most of the time, because I learned to use it a few years ago when I was working in graphic design. I still use Elements sometimes. Both are great programsGotta love those Macs.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 3

Heard version 5 is out, but, 3 seems to do everything I really need, and I haven't even touched the tip of the iceberg in what it can do. So . .

I believe it's great software, use it on my iBook.

Only drawback, however, is the folks at Adobe call some of the tools and techniques the most illogical names, and to save my life I can't figure out how they came up with things like:

Stroke, which = to create a box around an image.

How in the world did they come up with that??? I really wanna know!

Because it makes no sense to me. I thought that PSE was developed for the average, everyday person to be able to edit their photos, without needing the professional grade software. So, why they didn't make the language easy enough for a layman like myself to understand what it would logically mean is beyond me . . .

Check the Apple website under software and see the various photoshop versions available. The prices vary a lot and you may find the perfect one. As a side note, a new operating system called Leopard will be available in about a month and it may have new photo programs on it already. More to check on the website, I guess.
