Default Do you always match

your thank you cards to your invitations? :p Silly question I know but I need to make thank you's for Lauren's 1st birthday and I just don't know how to "slightly" change the thank you card from the invitation. I feel like I want to do something very different but didn't know if that was socially acceptable! LOL! Here's her invitation. Obviously instead of "You're Invited" I would put "thank you" but it just seems so boring to receive basically the same card! I'd love to use the "thank you" tag from Too Terrific Tags but it has flowers not snowflakes. Silly, silly! I know! But would you make thank yous with flowers for a party that was basically a perfect and pale plum snowflake theme?
Thanks for any advice you can give this Type A personality running on no sleep and waaaaay far behind on Christmas shopping, wrapping, etc!

i know exactly how you feel about matching BUT

How many people are actually going to notice? I would say do what you can afford. If you want to match them do it, if not, don't.

Just do what YOU want.

Default Subtle difference

How about matching the elements but not the card. Keep the colors and glitter, but do something different with them. Maybe use the Hologram Highlights for a faux diamond dust thing using a different set?

Great idea - now I guess I'll go play for a little bit! Thank you!

Why match at all? I've never thought of using matching cards for invites and thank yous. Perhaps for a very formal affair where you need to use the family monogram? Or for a businees gathering where you have to use the company logo? But this was a baby's birthday! No need to stifle your creativity and get bored making the same card.
Get out a different set. Or try this.... A friend took the wrapping paper from her baby's gifts, used it for background, and stamped a simple Thank You on a 2x3 layer in the center.

Aaaaah you ladies are making me feel FREE!! Thank you so much!

Okay - I matched colors, tag and the glitz but not the snowflakes... what do you think?
