Default Discovered Another Great Resource on SCS

This is the coolest thing since sliced bread, as my Grandma used to say :-D

One of the sub-forums on here is called "Splitcoast Challenges." In this forum, there's a thread called, "Downloadable Sketch Files." There are color Sketches and Card Photos in PDF format as well as Word. What a fantastic resource!!!! You know, sometimes you just get in a rut, or your creative juices are simply not flowing, or dried up even.

I printed these out and bound them into a book with my coil binding machine. I dolled up the cover with stamps and pretty papers and now I have a resource to use if I need some inspiration while designing a card.

This is going to come in real handy, as, in addition to cards for my blog, family, friends, etc. I'm now designing cards for the Card Ministry at my church.

Too cool not to share

I actually got started on SCS by finding the sketch challenges! When I am in a rut I still go back for inspiration!

I love that there is a card with each sketch. Sometimes seeing an image or a pattern makes me 'see' the layout better if that makes any sense??

I have been workin' my little brain off designing cards lately and this will really help! I was thinking I'd draw a sketch on the board, give the ladies in the Card Ministry different stamps and colors of cs and just let them 'play.'

I have always been amazed at how different people can look at the same sketch and come up with such different cards!

I, too, print these off and have a little book of them. They have stopped including a card sample with the sketches now :( so I go to the gallery for that sketch and pick out one or two, print them out and put them in my book next to the sketch, so I have a sample for each. Not as easy as when they were included, but doable when I do it each time I see they have addd the newer sketches.
