Default Different kind of color wheel

I found a different kind of color wheel in a little quilting supply booth in a craft mall yesterday. It's called the Rainbow Color Selector from EKSuccess. It has windows that you place over the color you are trying to match, you pick the closest color match on the wheel, then it points to the coordinating colors depending on what color scheme you are looking for. It's a little hard to describe--you can see it here:

http://www.scrapbook-creations.com/pocsizrainco.html

The color guide that comes with it discusses the different possible color schemes (monochromatic, triad, etc.) and is very useful.

I got it for under $4. but it seems to be running a bit more ($5.50-6.00) online. Do a google search for Rainbow Color Selector and you'll find a lot of sources.

I've seen a really cool color wheel at our Joanns. I wonder if this is the same as you are talking about. I think I need it because it has lots of other fabulous color combos that the SU wheel doesn't have.

Yeah, I know the color names won't be SU colors, but there are many colors on that wheel that come close to SU and it gives more coordinating options... much more than SUs... so I'm tempted to buy it.

Default Color Wheel

You know you have it bad when you look at a generic color wheel, and call the colors SU names!!! LOL

Ha! Yeah, totally right! I'm tempted to buy the Joann's and "write in by hand" the ones closest to SU!

I'll wait until I have a 40% off joann's coupon.

I did see this color wheel on the JoAnn's website, so it is probably the same one. I got the 5-inch one, and there is also a larger one.
