I just got a new die cut from Cottage Cutz. Window with canopy. Cute die but the paper sticks in the die so bad the window is torn and ruined by the time I get it out....Any idea's on how or what I can do the solve this problem ?
Have many die's and have never had this problem. ???
The actual tool that cuts is the die; the paper or other material you cut out with the die is called the die cut. I know, gets confusing:-D
I find if I put a piece of wax or parchment paper between my die and paper, it will come out of the die much more easily, so the paper won't tear.
HTH!

I second this technique: I use wax paper and it works wonderfully.
I use painters tape to get the paper out of the die. A small piece of scotch tape is OK too, but painters tape or masking tape is easier to peel off the paper.

I use the sticky part of post-it notes too.

Did the die come with the 'ejection foam'? I recently bought a Cottage Cutz Holiday Doily and it came with this thin foam stuff that I had to adhere to the doily (it has adhesive on one side). I tried diecutting without it but there was no way the doily was coming out of the die without tearing. Once I adhered the foam to the die, the diecut popped out easily without tearing.
I bought a die from them It came with a white sheet that had sticky on 1 side. Did a sheet of paper come with the die? You put this on run it through 1x without paper so that it sticks. The die I bought didn`t have any holes so you could help release the cardstock that is what the paper does. When I first got the die I used it withouth the paper I couldn`t even peel the paper out of it.
