Default ctmh question

Do the newer clear stamps come with an acrylic block or two in each stamp set? My cousin was telling me today that she thought they did. I wasn't sure. I have actually never even seen a CTMH catalog.

Oh - and what are the price ranges roughly for these? Are they more or less expensive or about the same as SU? Like - what would an alphabet set comparable to one of our $26.95 sets run? Thanks.

No, the blocks are seperate. I *think* the stamp sets run from $10.95 to $23.95 or so. I am not sure if that is what they top out at??? I don't have the newest catalog. HTH

You buy the sets and then you have to buy the blocks separate. No sets come with any blocks. Blocks vary in price depending on size - from like $3 or $4 for a 1"X1" to I don't know - don't have the catty in front of me - $15 for a 4"X6" block. You only have to buy the blocks once - and their most expensive set is $22.95. Even though it is acrylic, I find some of their sets would be priced the same if it were an SU! set, but some would be cheaper.

They have some cute stuff!

Thanks. I didn't think they would package a block with each set if they are reusable. I'll let her know before she orders them - b/c I know she doesn't already have a block.

Alphabet sets range in price and are usually priced at $13.95 (maybe some at 10.95) or 22.95 depending on the size of the alphabet. They also come with double letters so you can spell your word on the block - LOVE that!

They have some adorable monogram sets in their new catty. I think the letters are probably 1 1/2-2" (monogram letter) and then they come with some words and other things

There is an ebay link to one of those sets I'm talking about. Very cute. Those sets retail for $13.95

In the catalog - the set that you want to buy (if it's a catalog from 2005), they tell you what size blocks you need if you were to use that set. It's listed by the price and item number.

Hi -

In the catalogs when a stamp set is listed underneath it is a listing of the suggested block size. I usually suggest to my customers to get the largest block listed that way all the stamps will fit for sure. There is also a block "starter" kit that contains the most popular blocks.

If you have any other questions I would be happy to help

The stamp sets have 4 price points to make it easy.

A sets $10.95
B sets $13.95
C sets $18.95
D sets $22.95

I usually suggest to a person just starting out to get the 2x2 and the 4x4 blocks first as those will handle just about every stamp we carry.

In the new Solo Monogram sets, the largest of them is 3 5/8" tall, so a 4x4 block would handle those also.
