I drink a lot of crystal light, and the plastic tubes the mix comes in seems like it would be a neat thing to craft on, but I always throw them away. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do with them?
I used part of an OSW and covered the outside. Then using a circle punch, punched matching circle for the lid. Added a ribbon tied into a bow around the middle of can. Filled with candy and gave them (along with a stamped note cube and pen) to my son's teachers and school nurse.
I have a whole stash of containers now. May use some for Christmas/Birthday gift containers. My nieces and nephews like to get containers with little trinkets, candy and money for Easter, Christmas, birthdays, ect..

I have used them as just smaller versions of paint cans. stamp images, wrap the outside with card stock, apply your images however/wherever you want, make a circle for the top, add embellishments, adornments, etc. They are fun to make, don't take a lot of time, don't cost major $$$ to fill nicely, and everyone seems to enjoy them.
Hope this helps

I have a small square box filled with the containers and they house my markers, bone folder and other small tools on a lazy susan that I can just turn and have my main tools within reach. No lids on the containers.
I also have some on a lazy susan in the closet with different items stored in them with lids on these. They are nice free storage and I dont even use the contents, my BIL does.
Keep the ideas coming, girls!! I never thought to post this question on here, but I have been saving the containers for a while now because they just "had to be able to be made into something cool"!
When I saw your post about Crystal Light, my mind thought Crystal Effects. So I start reading your post and my mind reads, I drink a lot of Crystal Effects...
Guess it's time to go to bed. Thought you were drinking the stamping supplies!!

Thanks for all the ideas. I have quite a few of the crystal light containers, and also the Folger's Cafe Latte, which are sort of rectangular cubes! I have used them for kitchen storage (rice, split peas, etc.) Now I will be moving them to my stamping area. They are too nice to throw away.

I've been drinking iced coffee all summer, but just went back to my hot coffee yesterday. That made me think:
I drink the General Foods International Coffee (Cafe Vienna for me). They come in small rectangular tins with a plastic lid. I always recycle them, but this thread made me think I should decorate them. Any ideas for what to do with them once they are decorated? Put candy in them and use them for party favors? What?
