Create and Craft
Anyone watching Create and Craft the 24hr all craft shopping??
You can watch it online, and I think I heard them say Dish has it on TV.
I'm not sure yet if I like it. Haven't seen anything I'm really impressed over.
If you go to the website. You need to scroll to the bottom and click on "On Air Now" other wise you will be watching repeats on the video screen.

Been running over here in the Uk for a long time now, and I have to say I only watched it once, The presenters voice drove me up the wall in moments! I know people who watch it a lot though- and end up spending silly money! They seem to have a lot of kits, which have never been my thing, so another reason I don't watch. Also, they have a nasty habit of tying up new products in 'exclusive to them' deals for weeks/months at a time, a practice I really dislike.

I was excited when I learned I'd be getting this on DirecTV, channel 222. I've recorded a few and tried to watch it. Each hour contains a lot of repeat material. Lucky I can zip through that. I agree that the broadcasters need voice coaching to reduce the squeak and squeal. So far- ho hum. Yawn.
Wish we still had craft shows on TV. I'm burnt out on DIY, flipping, and fixing homes.

Glad its just not me!!!
I just can't take most of the host, ok pretty much none of them lol I don't think any of the men have done a bit of crafting in their lives!!! I know a few men online that craft and do it very well, but if you are going to have an exclusive craft shopping channel, have crafters doing the hosting!!
Nothing seems really new or exciting and too many repeats!!
I keep wondering if it is really live all the time, or if some is recorded.

I really liked the demo on the Chameleon markers. I will probably get them one day soon.
Blessings.

I just went through and programmed some recordings on dish. There is only about 4 hours that would interest me. There's a lot of coin collecting and infomercials the rest of the time. I see some Montel in the middle of the night...lol Don't know if that's his old show or him selling something. lol
I'm going to check it out. I see Joann's does some shows as well as, spellbinders, (I love them...)
At the very list I might find some inspiration. I'm not in the buying market currently.

Yep. I saw that on "The Dish" channel 221 at 1 pm Jo-ann Makes 1st and 10 team fleece projects. lol There are some paper crafting time slots this week too. I'll be checking that out for sure.
Wednesday at 11am (mountain time) Grand Calibur Crafting. I'm sure that they must be selling stuff and showing demos so, I'll check it out. I'm very curious to these. I do love spellbinders!!
It's all liked as Paid Programming, so it's definitely sales of some sort or advertising. I have it programmed for tomorrow and I'm off work so, I'll post tomorrow and let you know what I see.
Looks like they have an internet site too. If you don't have The Dish or Direct TV, it looks like it's on Roku too so definitely on the internet since Roku is an internet tv box. It's definitely sales though.... kind'a like QVC or HSN. I imagine if you're looking for flex pay on things this would work for someone.

I have to say, I miss a lot of the craft shows that use to be on. The tides have turned on that. If you have access to youtube on your tv, (roku, google or amazon stick, or apple tv), what I've done is made a play list from my youtube channels and created my own craft shows that I can watch on my tv. These are all my favorite youtube crafters so I know that I'm going to be mostly satisfied with what I'm watching.
I do miss taping a show and watching it later. Do you remember watching Carol Duvall? I sure miss her show.

I miss the all-day scrapbooking marathons they had on QVC back in the day. I always thought they had the best kits and at a great price, too. David Venable was great at hosting these events because he actually scrapbooked some and knew what he was talking about. I hate watching when the host has no clue what they are trying to sell!

You would think with Pinterest there would be new craft shows out. I agree about youtube. I listen to it all the time in my craft room.

Well, I did skim some of the shows today. I will most likely watch any of the video demos online from here on. There were a couple of really cool die shows put out. Couture was the ones that struck me. I kinda' wondered if Couture was made by spellbinders as they looked like they were manufactured the same way. There were bundles of several dies that were really beautiful. There were a boat load for like 80bucks. It was definitely worth it, but I doubt that I would buy something like that right now.
It was basically like watching HSN or QVC. It's ok, but I prefer to search HSN and QVC online. You can get the same deals. I shop when I'm in the mood, not when they are in the mood to share it!! lol
It was pretty good though.

If you ever get to watch it when Barbara Gray (Clarity Stamps) is on with Dean, you must watch it. They crack each other up through the whole thing. When I watch the shows that they do together, I literally laugh so hard that I cry.
Enjoy................. (YouTube would not let me copy embed code so here are links to the videos):

I am really disappointed in the US shows. Too much giggling and shrieking from the hosts, just as Loyce said above. Also they really haven't shown anything remarkable on there except for one or two shows, it's all basic and older things.
It's not live, they are all recorded shows and they do repeat lots. I prefer the UK version, the projects on there at least show me new items and techniques, Sue Wilson dies are one of them.
For those who say they miss Carol Duval, these shows are not like her shows at all. They are strictly there TO SELL US THINGS. Big let down.

I agree with the too much giggling. It bothers me most from this one young lady Jeanine Elle, she's fun but it is like she beats a dead horse with her joking around and doesn't know how to reel it back in after the first giggle.
I really like Jerry Noah. He's just the right amount of silly. He knows when it's time to get back to the demo or the selling. Jinger, I like her too although seems a bit flighty, but she doesn't get carried away. I think her and Jerry are good together. A few of the others, I like too. I also really like Stephanie Weightman. Mind you, I had to go to the site to get their names correctly.
I will say I did see the Barbara from Clarity Stamps and I love her and I LOVE her stamps. I fell in love with "The Village" set. I could see myself using that all the time.
Most of the time, I'll check out the website, but I know occasionally, I'll watch it on TV.

Create and Craft
I just happened to find that program one Saturday. It was interesting. I am in CA. and have Direct TV. Maybe if I had more time then I would watch. I just signed up today to be a fan. I need some motivation. This looks like a good place.
