Just wanted to share a happy surprise today. Went to A.C. Moore to find a few little things I "needed" to finish some Christmas cards. In my rush to get out the door I forgot to bring any coupons.
Of course, while in the store I found more things I "needed" than what I had originally intended. While waiting in the checkout line the nice lady in front of me turned and looked at my cart, then offered me a 50% off coupon! She had a few in her hand, evidently printed them off at home.
I was so blessed, so now the $7.00 set of silver and gold markers were only $3.50. A nice, unexpected bonus for the day! :-)
I love it when other people like to share the Christmas spirit!
These days, ever dollar, dime, nickle saved is a help. And half price markers are a bonus!
I have found many new friends here...I hold these ladies very close to my heart...It is amazing what the lovely ladies here will do for you.
blessings.
Ohhhh I love to print extras and give them to people at the store! I haven't done it lately though since I have an Android phone and can just pull up the coupon online and show it to the checker.
I give out coupons too. I got my Cuttlebug 50% off when a nice lady gave me her coupon. I was new to crafting stores then & I didn't know they had coupons like that. Changed my craft shopping completely after that. I am very grateful to her. I love sweet people at crafting stores. They are the best.
oh...larue....you are so sweet....I just love to help others...I love to think of the smile when they see what I have sent to them or done for them...gives me the warm fuzzies.
blessings.
I love shopping stories! A few weeks ago my son and I were going coat shopping for him rather late one Saturday night at Kohl's when they were having a big sale. As we were going in, a lady offered us a 30% off your total purchase coupon. So of course all I could think of was extra money to spend at AC Moore!!
I was in Hobby Lobby to buy one item and had my coupon....well my item was already 50% off so turned around a gave the coupon to the lady behind me. She was thrilled cuz she did not have one. I always give them to someone if I don't need it. Everyone likes to save money when they can.
I can't believe I've never thought of printing extra coupons to take with me, because I never go to Joann or Michael's without one, and quite a few times have given it away because the item I wanted was already on sale. It would be just as easy to print two coupons as one, and I'm going to do that from now on. Thanks so much for such an inspired thread!

I always print extra coupons when I go to Micheals. Since I live in an area in Canada where I don't recieve the flyer I can't rely on getting them from there. I usually print at least 4 so when I go to the store I can pass them on to anyone behind me who doesn't have one. The looks and thank you's you get are great. I even chased a women through the sticker section just to give her my extra coupon before I left the store. LOL she probably thought I was some weird stalker woman!
I was frustrated tonight when I had an Archiver's coupon I wasn't going to use, and like I usually do with spare coupons, asked the cashier to give it to someone who could use it since it expired tonight. She took it and put it in the trash can, and said that based on where you live, you get different coupon codes, so they just throw extra ones away if the recipient doesn't use it. SO frustrating.
