Default Could this tool be useful for stampers? Chip It!

Has anyone seen the Chip It! tool from Sherwin-Williams? Yes, the paint store.

You can see the video on how the tool works here

Well, it's definitely a tool I can see using to choose paint colors for your walls. But....why couldn't you use it to come up with a color scheme for your cards too?!?!?!?

I have used the SU color palette tool that someone created (here's the thread with the link). What's different about the Chip It! tool is that you can get the colors from a picture....like a flower, scenery, etc. It comes up with the color scheme. Of course, the colors are going to be for those colors for paint from Sherwin-Williams, but you could go through your stash of cardstock (whatever brand) and come up with colors that closely match the colors provided by Chip It!

Maybe it's just me, but I thought it was cool. I know that I'm not always happy with the color scheme I come up or even find it difficult to come up with one. This tool may help me get better at coming up with color schemes.

Just a thought....hope you find it useful.

I have a program similar that I was using when I designed scrapbooking stuff to create colour schemes. It was called Color Schemer (oddly enough ). What I really liked about it is that it gave me the RGB & HSL codes of the colours and you could use a picture to generate your colour scheme. It was really great to use when I did a lot of digital scrapbooking.
