Default Costco Find

Hi!
DH and I were at Costco this afternoon picking up some groceries and I found and purchased these packages of scrapbook paper.
12x12, by Pacon, 300 sheets, 20 colors, solid colors, The label says, "Acid Free, Lignin Free, Heavy Weight Cardstock, great for crafts, stamping, borders, die cutters, paper punches, photo mounting and other arts and crafts projects." $12.99. (4.3 cents each) This isn't what I would consider Cardstock, especially compared to SU and other brands of good paper. But this paper is bright, colorful and thin, with enough body to be perfect for use with layering, punches and die cuts.
12x12, Memory Block Scrapbook Paper, 360 sheets, 80 lb sheets. The label says, "4 sheets each of 90 patterns and colors with coordinating solids. Acid free - Lignin Free." $11.99 (3.3 cents each) Printed on one side, white on the other side.
Thats why I purchased these packs of paper, for decorating crafts with my kids, dressing up packages and bags, stuff where I dont want to use my good paper. I also like the bright colors.
Just thought I'd share my find in case someone was interested in some inexpensive paper.

Happy Stamping

I managed to resist these the last time I was at Costco, but I need to make a trip there tomorrow and may have to give in!

I've seen these packages in my Costco, too, and wondered what the paper was like. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it!

A few questions, if you don't mind -- What do you think of the prints? Are they coordinated with the plain colors? Do you think these work with any SU! cardstock you have on hand? My storage space for paper is so limited that I really hesitate to buy these big packages withour feeling a bit more certain I would be likely to use them. TIA for your help.

Happy trails....

Sue

The colors coordinate with each other well and with the solids included in the package. I don't know if they'll go well with SU colors. I'll try and look tomorrow. I did go through the package and I like the choices, lots of bright spring and summer type colors. Very simple, not a lot of designs. Nothing very fancy compared to the Slab's found at Michael's. If space is an issue I'd stay with SU's designer papers that do coordinate with their papers. Hope this helps.

I got a pkg last summer here in Canada. It is great for layering, and my kids do scrapping, so it was very inexpensive. I even found that it coordinated very well with SU colours....good deal!

I agree.
I bought the solid colored package and it's great.
