Question Which Copic workshop did you like?

I'm planning to take one of the workshops organized by Copic and was looking for some feedback on which ones people liked. I was thinking of taking the "Vintage values and mono tones".

Hi there. I took an on line copic class for beginners from:
Online Card Classes - workshops and classes for cardmakers and it was so awesome! Its work at your own pace. You can go thru each class as often or as many times as you want once you have paid for a class its always available for you. Im going to go thru it again and then move to the next one. It is so reasonable. Only like 35.00.

I've taken both the Standard and Intermediate. If you've never taken a class start with Standard. They will teach you the basics.

I would think if you took anything else you'd be confused and lost at what they are showing you.

After you take the Standard I would think you may be ok with the others. When I took the Standard back in '08 they didn't have all of the extra classes. Marianne did recommend working with the markers for awhile before anyone would take the Intermediate class. She was right! It gave me a chance to experiment and come up with questions I needed help with.

Thanks ladies for your feedback!

gingerd, I've had some experience using alcohol markers (I've the spectrum noir) so I keep oscillating whether I should or shouldn't take the Standard class. Do you think the Standard would benefit anyone or is it only if you've never had any experience with alcohol markers?

They give you lots of tips and tricks. Marianne taught the Standard class I took. She is fabulous!

Here is a link to her blog.......I'm not sure how much she teaches anymore or if she supervises those that are teaching.

I Like Markers

Within her blog search topics you're interested in. You can probably find a lot of info here!

For 'in person' classes, I took standard and intermediate. Loved having the experts right there. Not only do they instruct and demo, but as we are coloring they walk around the room and are able to see what we're doing and to give us the 'thumbs up' or to help us if we're struggling with something. Loved both classes and learned a bunch.

I've taken some online classes and they were good but, for me, nothing can compare to having the instructor right there with me.

Although I'm all for online classes because I don't have to go anywhere for them and they're quite reasonable, for coloring I'm thinking of taking an in-person class just for the reasons QueenOfInkland mentioned. So that I can get feedback on what I'm doing right and what I'm not.

Just wanted to let you all know I registered for the Vintage Values and Monotone workshop. Unfortunately Copic is not offering the Standard certification class in my area.
