someone please enlighted a newbie... what is CKC? I googled it, and can find all sorts of references to the event, but nothing about what the acronym stands for.
I had really wanted an answer to this too since I had registered for the convention and I posted the same question one their Facebook page but never got an answer. I ended up taking the certification class that came to my area and that was fabulous.
I took the first one at the one in Buffalo. It was very fast paced, which I figured it would be and I learned a couple of things. I was going to sign up for the second one also but decided to stick to one and I am glad I did. I enjoyed it, but I think for how much I will use them for my personal use, I can probably find videos online that will be helpful. I am glad that I took it though.

they are much cheaper than the certification class and the closest certification class is usually an hour if not 3!
I helped at the CKC classes in Buffalo taught by Clear and Simple Stamps- class 2 and 3. Class 2 was regarding blending techniques and lasted about 50 minutes of the 60. A LOT of great techniques discussed. In fact, so many great things were talked about that it actually convinced me to start using Copics! Nicki and Reenee are great teachers and have a lot of coloring experience between the two. I believe you made 2 or 3 completed cards in that class, plus learned a sheet's worth of techniques.
Class 3 covered the airbrush machine as well as some other topics that didn't fit into class 1 or 2. This class had a bit more free time at the end- maybe 15 minutes leftover. But most people enjoyed that extra time because you were free to use the airbrush machine to spray anything you had brought with you.
Also, let me add that in Buffalo class 3 only had 12 people in it that day, so it was a nice small size which worked well for using the airbrush machine. The amount of time leftover will depend on your class size.
I decided not to take the copic classes. I debated for days and finally took some other classes I thought I would enjoy. I have a few friends that are quite talented with copics...I am sure I could take a few 101's from them for free. ;)
