here is a link to my blog where you can see it..and leave a comment there ..or you can leave me one here. I really would love to know of something to spruce this thing up a bit..THANKS>..Color the world by J.Beare designs
I reclicked on my card to see if it was mine... LOL I think you may be right it is kinda floating..., I really like that stamp and have kept from selling it several times, so flip it around... Thank you!!! Iwill pull it out tonight and revamp that sucker... no shiny CS left but, I'll figure something out! LOL
Thanks SO much

Ok my turn...i need to finish this by Tuesday! I have addede 2 chipboard photo corners on either end...something else seems to be missing though...maybe strings??? lol
I love the Word Card idea from Dina. I used her template and made mine, and now I'm stuck! I was trying for a collage type look, with obviously, a more masculine flavor. The heart has really stumped me. What do I put there?
I had made a little nesty with sponging and the word, Amour, inside....and it looks OK, but it needs more. I know pulling in the colors from the I and the U might be hard, but any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks so much.
Do you have another pattern in that series with the same colors?? ... if so, that's what I would use. Or, you could add pieces of the two patterned papers that you used on the I and U ... maybe woven strips ... or like a quilt - but it would be more work.
I was thinking maybe a brown and blue plaid paper for the heart or even a brown paper ran thru the cb with the woodgrain embossing folder would be manly.

I made this card for a VSN challenge that called for rolled flowers. This is what I managed to come up with in 45 minutes. HELP! Does anyone have any idea how I can rescue this card?
The Dragonfly brad Holds the fold closed. I can't take it off the card unless I would add something to cover the hole. If you think I should do that...I bought some little velcro dots I thought I might try to close the card with.
My honest opinion - I like it perfectly just as it is. Your flower and foliage make a great focal point and less is more when it comes to setting them off . I can't tell from the photo if you have anything in the centre of the flower, but I certainly wouldn't change anything else.
Is there a reason for taking the dragonfly brad off? It's so cute! Like Sabrina said this card is perfect as is. Unless you think the recipient will rip it apart. Put a little note telling them how to open so that they do not destroy this pretty card.

Thanks so much everyone! I guess I was just being too critical. I will leave that dragonfly. I will see if I can place anything in the center of the flower. Thanks!!!

That sounds like a great idea! You could put a brad or maybe a small punched circle in the center of your flower. You could even emboss a punched circle using the dots embossing folder.
I really like this card. However although it has had 781 views, I have not received even one comment. So i would really like some constructive criticism on what I could have done better.

I like the layout, the dp, and the sentiment. Maybe the card looks different in person but the color yellow seems to be a bit out of place. I do like the overall cross design and the way you did the cb treatment. The ribbon matches beautifully!

Hi! I would ink the edges of the medallions, cross, oval and scallop. Maybe try some crystal effects or pearls on the dove to give it more dimension and use a marker to color the olive branch, well olive, or a green that compliments your card.

I was going to suggest the same thing. The yellow layer seems to be a bit too much yellow. Other than that I really like your card!

I also dont appreciate that yellow lawer. I would have used a pink or red or even blue matching the designer paper, which could have also put the focal on the cross without that too much yellow that tends to make us forget the cross. If you see what I mean.
Thanks for the comments. Interesting comments about the yellow. It is Daffodil Delight, and that actually is a color in the Beyond the Garden DSP that I used. It just happens that the yellow does not show in the DSP on this one card of the set. I guess I covered it up with the Framelit. It is not as bright in real life. LM
