Default Confused about stamps!

Hi I am wanting to order some of the rubber romance stamps. I am pretty new at stamping and was wondering what it means by unmounted stamps? What do I mount them on? Stupid question right! Im used to only clear stamps right now. I just love that line they have, I just want to make sure I know what I am ordering. Thanks so much!!!!!

Generally "unmounted" means the rubber portion of the stamp without a wood block. However, there are two kinds of unmounted stamps: bare rubber - rubber only and no cushion; and EZ-mount - rubber with a cushion attached. They usually say in the description if there is a cushion included.

Either kind of unmounted can be used with acrylic blocks. EZ-mount clings directly to the acrylic but bare rubber needs some sort of adhesive.

I hope this helps.

Rubber Romance sells bare rubber or wood mounted. I usually buy the unmounted, and then mount on EZ mount cling cushion, which is a cushion that has a sticky side for the rubber and a cling side to stick to your clear block. These are really large images, so I'd recommend using them with EZ mount and not plain unmounted.

It looks like Rubber ROmance just sells the rubber. You can just stick it to your acrylic blocks (with removable adhesive) OR get some EZ mount foam that adheres to the rubber--and clings to your acrylic block.

Hope this helps!

I love Rubber Romance. I order from them directly, so I always order them wood mounted so I don't have to deal with anything. I just get them and stamp!

I would agree with Shanan on this one. (HI SHANAN! Nice to have met you at CHA)

When you are using a really large image it is helpful to have the foam between the image and your block.
