Okay, I have started selling my handcrafted items (cards, bookmarks, covered notepads, altered tins, etc.). I'm not an demo with any company, so I end up using many different companies' products. I have reserved my first craft fair booth and want to make sure that i'm following policy with the companies that I use. I would like to have a stamp made (vistaprint.com) that has my name and webaddress, and will have something written on the bottom, like:
Jasa www.com
Some images (c) by Stampin'Up!, BellaStamps,
since I also use hero stamps (which also has an angel policy asking that you put their copyright notice on stuff), and would LOVE to start using the bella stuff (they, too, have an angel policy).
what is your suggestion on the stamp? or should I just have it:
Jasa www.com
Some images (c) by ______________ (where I would fill it out per creation).
what do you think? thanks so much for your advice!
~j
I'm curious to this answer. I have the same issue and just starting to sell some items. I want to make sure I adhere to the policies. I've subscribed to this thread to keep up with the responses.
Thank, ladies.

Well, if you are selling items made w/ SU products, they require you use to use on of their specific angel stamps. As for the other companies, something like you suggested might do the trick. Of course, you can always email each company for verification.
The only advice I have is to make sure you contact each company directly for the most accurate information on their Angel Policy, before proceeding to sell hand-stamped items made with their images.
Hero Arts, for example, requires that you submit a letter, outlining the quantities and images you wish to use; they also limit the # of items per image to 50, among other stipulations.
Good luck with your endeavor!

I'm not really asking about the policies of the companies - I understand that. What I'm asking your advice on is the stamp for the backs of the cards (for example) - where you have "Hand Stamped By...."
see my examples above. Does SU really require one of their stamped images above the "(c) Stampin'Up!)? I didn't think they did, according to their catalog (I currently have an SU stamp with my name printed on it, from the catalog). Just trying to combine the companies and use just 1 stamp for the backs of all the cards.... maybe that's not possible?
thanks!
Jasa, my sister is an SU demo. So you want me to call her and ask? I understand what you're asking, and I too have no idea if SU's angel images are the ONLY stamps that satisfy their angel policy. Let me know if you want me to give my sis a ring, I'd be happy to.

my local rep told me that all I needed was the "(c) Stampin'Up!" or fully written out - whichever. I mostly use StampinUp products (I don't have any of the CTMH or Angel Company, or Bellas (not yet)). I just want to be prepared and have a personalized stamp for the backs of my cards that might be "suitable" - maybe I should just go with:
Some Images (c) __________
that way, I'll just fill out the line with the company's name that I used on the card. and be done with it... if I have to have a SU image above my personalized info, then I'll just use a stamp from the set that I used for the card - no biggie.

Well, I'll admit that if I were to make hand-stamped items for resale, I wouldn't mix stamp companies on such projects because it'd be a pain to try to list all the different images and their respective company's copyrights/credits, which is usually what is required when a hand-stamped item is submitted for print publication . . .
But, I don't know if the companies would have a preference for how to list the credits on items created for resale when mixed, as you described, so the only way to know is to ask 'em.
Sorry I wasn't of more help on that . . .

Can you just imagine the back of each card having the COPYRIGHT stamp for each company?? I am just picturing a ''COPYRIGHT COLLAGE'' on the back of every card! LOL!
I get my stamps from www.paperangel.com she has a great variety of angel stamps there you can use. Also she makes them with email addresses or websites or whatever. It only took like 2 weeks for her to get mine to me...
almost forgot most company's you can get their own copy right stamps like Bella's has one you can buy for cheap with a tiny bella on it. I know i have one for Inky antics and SU and have seen them for other companys too.
There really isn't a blanket answer. As Julie was saying, you really do need to contact each company and ask them. Some DO require you to actually purchase and use one of their copyright stamps. Some do not allow you to use their images in conjunction with another company's images. Then there are some, like Bella and Hero, that limit the number of items you make for sale.
If you are trying to stay in compliance with all of the companies' policies, you're really better off going straight to the source.
I don't combine companies stuff (usually) on my cards - tho I did just use a baby stamp (from Michaels) combined with SU paper (retired) and a "You're Invited" SU Stamp. But, it's rare when it happens....
Anyway, I understand what you're telling me. So, what I'll continue to do is use my SU personalized angel stamp (and when I buy my 1st bella, I'll be sure to purchase their angel stamp, too!) on all my SU stuff. Maybe I'll just have the vistaprint.com stamp to show my web address and email addy - to be stamped at the bottom of the other company's angel stamp....
I just want to have my contact info on the back of my stuff - like I have seen from other SU demos on the backs of theirs. (this might have been easier if I could just have said that in the beginning.... DOH).
I sign the back of my card creations (with appropriate angel policy info), but I don't put my contact info there. I feel that is too cluttered. When packaging cards individually, I do attach a business card to the cello bag or clear envelope.
I know, that doesn't give your name to the person who receives your card in the mail, but I bet interested people would make the phone call (or e-mail) to the sender to find out where the superb handcrafted item came from.
