Default Clear gem/ magnet question

Where do you find the clear round flat backed gems that are used in making magnets by gluing stamped or printed images on the back?

The ones at Michael's are around a half inch or larger than 1.5 inches.Aren't they usually about an inch?

Thanks.

I made some of those a couple of years ago, and I think I found the flat ones at Hobby Lobby, in the artificial flower section.

Also, sometimes they have them at Dollar Tree, if you have those stores in your area.

Thanks. Do you know what the common size is?

Nina, I think the ones I used were about 1" or a little larger. That way I could use my Martha Stewart 1" circle punch to punch out the paper for the bottom.

I found a few of my smaller stamps that would work on a 1" circle. I will say it turned out to be more of a project than I imagined when I started. They turned out cute, and I gave sets of them in little metal tins for Christmas gifts.

I had the best luck with using E6000 adhesive for both the circle and the circle magnets. It works well, but the fumes are something else. I think I found the circle magnets at Hobby Lobby, too.

Here is a really good photo tutorial:

Thanks so much. I found some at Dollar Tree that were between the two sizes at Michael's and I think they will be perfect.
Thanks for all the info.
