Clear cardstock
Does anyone have a source for clear cardstock reasonably priced? I got some at Michaels that came in a pad, I went back to get more and the place on the rack where it was has been replaced with another product. Can't find it anywhere in the store. :(
Thanks a bunch!

I buy mine from Flourishes - http://rjnx9.ut464.servertrust.com/C...K_p/ccc001.htm. It's fabulous quality, so any time I am ordering stamps from them I'll get a pack at the same time, although they don't always have it in stock.

Pam -
You can use acetate/clear cardstock as your card base. Use it as layers. However you can imagine.
Here's a search for 'acetate card' here in the SCS galleries:

Pam,
I use it to make boxes and I stamp images on it. It is really pretty!

OK, sorry to take this a little off topic, but has anyone successfully heat embossed on clear cardstock? I wondering if you are really careful with the heat gun if it can work.

I haven't tried to use heat with it. So I am not sure.

luv2craft here is a link to clear card stock. It is cover weight and holds a crease well. Flourishes has plenty in stock.

JudiKins makes an embossable "window plastic" - it's like acetate but can withstand the heat.

I buy mine from Flourishes.org like mentioned above.
Papertrey also has some:
Papertrey Ink - Clearly Creative Cardstock
And Stampin' Up! does too I think. I have the impression that Stampin' Up!'s comes in 12x12 too.
You can also stamp on clear cardstock and then QUICKLY flip it onto paper to make a (somewhat blurrier) reverse stamp image. This is useful for making reflections in water.

It's not actually cardstock; it's acetate. Some companies just call it "cardstock." Cardstock is a paper product; acetate is a type of plastic. I've used the Judikins Embossable Window Plastic, and it works very well.

Yes. Amazon.com has the Judikins, but it's a very large package. Scrapbook.com has another brand, but it is embossable window plastic. I think you can also buy it from the Judikins website.

I have embossed successfully on Graffix acetate, but very carefully holding the heat gun farther away and letting the powder melt slowly.

After reading the suggestions on here, I went ahead and ordered some clear card stock from Flourishes. All I can say is WOW! I am highly impressed with the quality of the card stock and the price was great! Thanks for the suggestions.

I think that you need a special heat resistant acetate. As mentioned Judikins has it.
