Hello, All! I don't know if this has already been discovered, but I did a brief search and didn't see it. I would think it has, I am never the first to discover anything.
Anyway.... Stampin' Up!'s large round clear buttons are the EXACT size of Circle of Friendship!!! It looks so cool to punch/cut out CoF and back the button with them! I use my Marvy Uchida 1" circle punch, but it would be so easy to cut out also. Great for cards and scrappages!
Other ideas:
- Punch out the centers and put them on top of the CoF backed button.
- Use cord to tie a knot through the button holes (you can still see the CoF through the outer edge)
- Punch them out with SU! 1 1/4" punch and have a border around the button
Ok, so if this has gone around before, sorry, I just found it out and thought it was so cool! If you can think of anything else with the buttons, let me know. I love finding new ways to use my stuff! ;)
I've seen awesome SU samples with the clear buttons stamped with Staz On. I bought the buttons when I saw that, but I've been too chicken to try. I keep looking at the buttons and am afraid to ruin them. Your post will make me take the plunge!!

If you stamp on the clear button with stazon and don't like it--you can usually wipe it off and start over--if you do it quickly! I keep a cleaning cloth with stampin mist beside me when I stamp on the clear buttons in case I mess up the first time.

I did the very same thing! I saw the stamped buttons and bought them and have never used them. Now I need to drag those out because I just got the COF stamp. Sounds like a great idea for that stamp.

Hey, Joan, don't be skeered! Mr. Clean Magic Eraser will fix it if you goof and wait to long to wipe it off! I love the clear buttons on cards/pages. And there are so many in the package, it's worth a try.
oooh - thnaks for the mister clean eraser tip - that does help me. now i won't be afraid to use my clear buttons either... maybe i'll even try one or two of them tomorrow!

This is a great simple card I have put in my favorites by kthaman using a clear button over patterned paper. When I cased it, I used the new 3/4" circle punch on the paper with the smaller clear button. I love these buttons and have gone thru at least 4 containers of them. I like to actually USE my toys-- only so I can order more. Yes, I do have a problem!!
I was just at Regionals on Saturday and they demonstrated embossing on clear buttons, they were soooo cute......I'll try and post my pics of it tonight.
