Default Clam Shells - what to do

What do you do with these if you have unmounted your steps? Also, same question for the wooden blocks.

Keep a couple of the larger clam shells. Little ink pads fit perfectly. They're snug and the lids don't fly off.

I use them to store lots of stuff. I don't use jars for my embellishments. I use labeled clamshells, stored on thier ends like books. They are so handy to take from my craftroom to tote and back again. They are my craftrooms best oraganizational secret.

I use them to store embellishments too. I like that I can see through them. I put most of my blocks in the recycling bin. People who said they wanted them didn't show up to pick them up. Some I used for the camp fire (hard wood burns a long time) and I kept a couple for a few crafts.

A preschool or day care might like the blocks for play centers.

You can use the clamshells for:
embossing powder (one for each color)
store your adhesive pearls and rhinestones in them
scraps of ribbon sorted by color
sharp tools all in one place and to protect fingers from reaching into a drawer
keep pieces for a "work in progress" project sorted and neat
small ones can be used to organize your junk drawer
marker storage

That's all I can think of off the top of my head....if I come up with others I'll post back

Well, I can tell you an unexpected use. My DH had his hunting tags and receipts sitting on a side table and the dogs got to them. The didn't destroy them thankfully, but they did make a mess of some paperwork. DH used an empty case to hold the tags, metal wires and receipts. Who'da thought my hobby would 'help' his hobby!

I'd buy some from ya. I'm always using em to store stuff in - pearls, chipboard shapes, die cut shapes, small jars of powders, unmounted stamps, card "parts"... Ya know, you start a card, don't glue anything down, decide that looks yucky, change that, move that, then you have to clean it up because someone is coming over, so ya toss the whole thing in a clear box and get back to it later. LOL

Talking Yup

I unmounted my SU and just as a whim, listed the clamshells on the BST here for free (just pay postage) if anyone wanted them. By the first night, all of them were GONE. I was so happy to share & recycle and it was really fun when I got several nice thank you cards after ... all around a fun deal.

I would purchase some of the largest size from you. I store the $1.00 stamps from Michaels in them.
blessings.

I use one (bottom of clam shell measures 4.5" x 3.75") to store my smartphone charger, ear buds for listening when I visit a website or listen to music (I am a night owl but the significant other is not and wants it quiet to sleep so ear buds are a MUST). I also keep any coupons that I plan to use in the next few days (better to have it in view than tucked away out of sight).

Others are used as already listed (storing rhinestones, punched pieces, short pieces of ribbon, embossing powder so can just slide the stamped piece in without making a mess, etc.)

I never have a problem finding a way to repurpose the clamshell boxes. As others have mentioned they are handy to store embellishments, card parts and those flat packets of bakers twine.
One of the most valuable uses for me is to use them as project planners for cards I intend to make. We like to take weekend trips in our travel trailer to attend shooting events that my husband competes in. I spend the time stamping and creating in my little traveling studio. The clamshells are a great way to organize all the bits and pieces I might need to complete a particular card design. They are easy to fill, contents are visible and they stay closed without having to resort to rubber bands. They are also tidy to pack and make good use of the limited space in the trailer.
I always plan to have a couple of empty clamshells in addition to those loaded with projects. One is for completed cards so that they don't get damaged during travel and the other empty is used for all the interesting "starts" that accumulate after a few sessions of creating cards.
Empty clamshell containers are our friends.
