Smile Christmas Gift for Demonstrator Group

I have recently become a SU demonstrator and went to my first demonstrators group meeting tonight. We are having a Christmas party in December and need to bring a homemade stamped gift that costs no more than $5.00. I would appreciate any ideas you have! The members of this group appear to be quite talented and I'm a fairly new stamper so haven't done much more than make cards. Thanks for your help!

My first thought is a candle. Jenni has a great tutorial on this page... Stamped Candles

Second, go to the "Anything But a Card" gallery and browse around. There are altered clipboards, journals, photo albums, lunch tins....

the subtitle for the gallery says "anything that you held still long enough to stamp!" Cracks me up every time I read that line. I had a very docile cat. He would sit on my lap for hours, but I never tried stamping him.

Go get one of those large photo cubes that are $3.99 at Hobby Lobby (or similar place). Alter it and think of each side like a mini scrapbook page. Very simple and fun! ;-)

I did a few for a craft show (leaving spot for photos with "place photo here" stamp) but haven't taken pix yet.

If you just make cards and that's your thing, then a cute set of 5 cards with envelopes, tied with a little ribbon would be a great gift!

How about an ornament? I love the clear ornaments with the image stamped on acetate inside of the ornament. There are a bunch in the gallery here.

What about an altered journal? I do them for gifts often, and you can get a journal at a dollar store or the $1 section at Michael's. You can make a bookmark and/or pen to match! (This is what I am making for my girl cousins for Christmas gifts!)

I have a few in my gallery...(here is a set I made with DP, a dollar store pic frame, a small comp. book, a pen, and a journal-- I think the total $$ in merch. is less than $4!!)
