I will be ordering some paper for Christmas cards soon and was wondering what colors are good Christmas colors. I have forest foliage, real red, and garden green. What are some others?
How about Baroque Burgandy, Glorious Green, Old Olive, Creamy Caramel and Brushed Gold. And for snowmen or snowy scenes, Night of Navy, Brushed Silver, Bordering Blue. These are all colors that I have used. SCS has taught me to think outside the box. Hope this helps.
My husband's favorite color is navy, so I try to use that in our Christmas cards. With this years new catalog they have come out with new designer paper, Silver Bliss. I think these two papers together will be fantastic! My personal favorite is Almost Amethyst with silver ink. HTH.
For the red and green Christmas cards, I like to use Ruby Red and Garden Green. I like the more subtle look. If I am going for elegant, I like Baroque Burgandy and Forest Foliage. I also like to use non traditional and do some in the purples and greens.

many of my last year's ones were made with Night of Navy for the main card, then layered with vanilla and Baroque Burgundy. I used the big Christmas tree from Holiday Wishes, embossed some with silver, others stamped in Black.
I saw a beautiful card using Christmas Foliage (of course can't find it now!) and soft subtles - maybe blush blosson amd mellow moss, with gold embossing. At least my memory inlcludes the embossing. I'll look harder
I made one last year using Christmas foliage. Main color Perfect Plum. Stamped the image on US white in Pale Plum and Perfect Plum. Colored in the centers with blender pens and Gold. Put radiant white vellum over that and stamped Merry Christmas in Gold on vellum. Tied with Gold ribbon. A very elegant look. You could even emboss this in Gold.
I do winter holiday cards in Night of Navy and Bordering Blue or Brocade Blue. I think cards that aren't made from Red and Green stand out so much more.
I do remember last year nearly every shade of green and Baroque Burgundy (sp) were on back order almost all of December. Learned to plan ahead!! You are so smart to be ordering now.
I did a few cards with bordering blue, night of navy and mellow moss. I used the Flaky Friends set. They were cute!
I also used the same set with pale plum, perfect plum and mellow moss.
I think it is nice to do the unexpected. I didn't have a lot of money last year but still wanted to make cards. I used what I had and treated it as a challenge. I was pretty proud of the results. I don't think you can make a horrible mistake as long as you use complementary colors.
This year I am using Almost Amethyst, Brilliant Blue and Lavendar Lace with the Snowflake set. Also - Glossy White for some and shimmery white for others.
