The Chipbaord Coaster Albums with the rounded corners that you creative ladies make. What is the easiest way to cover them with cardstock. Do you trace the cardstock and then cut it out with a scissor and then glue it? Or do you glue it and then trim? By the way I am craft Knife impaired so any tips without using a craft knife would be helpful.
I trim the paper slightly larger than the chipboard then I glue it down, then I trim it closely by going around the edges with a Stampin Up sanding block. Sometimes I use craft ink to color the edges of the chipboard first.
If you cut the paper 4x4 and then glue how do you get the corners round?
How do you trim once the paper is down?
Thanks
Katie
I just use a nail file to trim the paper so that it fits onto the rounded corners. works for me. I find that if I cut the paper any bigger than that i have trouble with trim it. good luck with your projects
My last set of coasters don't match any of my corner rounders, but all my other ones have matched!!! (I even got these at the same place...)
Anyway, if they don't match, I cut 4x4 then glue with Designer Dries Clear. Trim aroudn the corners with baby Kai scissors so I can get really close. Sand with sanding block.
That's what I've been doing until I discovered how HANDY the Chipboard Stacks are!!!! (see photos on blog) Now I just need one of the Zutter super duty corner rounders... ;-)

I cut my paper 4x4" then use a corner rounder punch before adhering the paper to the coaster. A little squiggle of Tombow Mono Multi is all I ever use to adhere the paper to the coaster and it works like a charm.
I use my Basic Grey sanding kit to sand all the edges so that they're smooth and that's it!
I fuond that the current small corner rounder works well with my coasters, so I ususally use that. I've had a batch of corners with more rounding, and for those I used a larger retired SU corner rounder.
I put the adhesive on the coasters first whether it is mod podge or double sided tape. Then, I plop it down on the patterned paper. Let it dry if you're using mod podge. When stuck down, I trim around it with an exacto knife. Then, I just sand the corners with a file. Very quick and easy, especially when using double sided tape.
