Default cards sizes

Since I've discoverd digital scrapbooking I now have a hoard of 12x12 cardstock that I've hardly touched in 3 years! I'm finally getting smart and using it up for cards. I love making the size 4x6 inch cards now, since I can get 3 cards out of a sheet with no waste. It's easy to find the envelopes too, and they're less expensive than the A2's.

Just wondering what size you make most these days? I'm really sick of the 4.25x5.50 cards!

Another thing, why can't they just make printed cardstock? I know some of the designer papers are thick enough for a base, but it makes more sense to me to offer a line of printed cardstock so you don't always have to layer. Just think of the adhesive we'd save?!!!

As well as the 4.25x5.50 size, I do 5x7 and 5.5 square. Thanks for the suggestion of 4x6 cards - think I'll try that size since so many stamps are a little on the small side for 5x7.

Ya know...I was just thinking about this! I too get tired of the same size card but forget to change it up. Sometimes I cut my paper 4.25x5.50 just out of habit!

I have tried 3x3, 4x4 and 5x5 for starters. I have also tried 4x9.25 (fits into a legal envelope) and 3.5x6 and 3/8 (fits a standard envelope)

Thanks for the 4x6 suggestion.

Have fun trying new sizes!
