I was just tiding up my Scrapin' Up room and I realized that I've received a TON of cards (home-made and not). Right now, they're over-flowing in a box. Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep these tidy?
You could keep the ones that are super special to you, and maybe RAK the rest to things like cards for soldiers..etc...that way they'd be put to good use!! And if something is written on the inside, you can just cut the front off and remount it!
Are you looking to get rid of them, or keep them for ideas?
Any handcrafted ones you want to get rid of, I'd be glad to take them off your hands for the military project I'm a part of (yes, that's a shameless plug) :p See the thread in my siggy and PM me if you're interested.
If you're looking to keep them for ideas, my demo uses the little photo albums from Walmart to showcase her samples. She tries to sort them into stamp sets, but that starts to get overwhelming depending on how many swaps she's in. Sometimes it's by technique. She moves them around quite a bit.
Me? I put some of my sample cards into an 8.5x11 album with the page protectors and mount them with the photo corners (that way I can take them out to do measuring if I need to).
And some go into the military box for someone else to use.
This is great! I had to go to that link that explains SCS acronyms to find out what RAK means (duh, Tara!!), but that's a great idea!
I am actually looking for advice on both: what to do with the cards I don't want anymore and the ones I want to neatly save. Since I'm a huge recycler, the RAK idea is a hit.
I keep my swap cards in little plastic "shoeboxes" I get from Walmart. They are super cheap. The cards that I no longer use/need I donate to the local nursing homes.

I keep my raks in a photo storage box from Michael's. They are inexpensive adn stack nicely and regular sized cards fit perfectly when I store them on their edge like in a file.
It seems like once you store them you rarely look at them again (at least in my case) so I have taken all my cards and cut the fronts off to turn in to cards for the soldiers. They have new life and purpose. Most of my friends and family know I recycle for this wonderful cause. It saves me storage room as well...just my .02 worth...
What I do with the home-made cards I receive is I put them in a clear envelope and hang them on my craft room wall...no need to decorate the room as the cards can be enjoyed by all who enter.
