Default Need help making this card holder!

Hello
I am fairly new to using Splitcoast Stampers I need help. I am trying to find a pattern for something I saw on Etsy It is called [B]Modern 2 Fold Diagonal Invitation on the Etsy Site.https://www.etsy.com/listing/1222528...w_type=gallery
I want to put a bridal shower invitation in it and then place in a clear envelope to mail. I am just not sure if there is a pattern or directions for something like this? I only have 10 days to get the invitations out in the mail. My life is a bit crazy right now as I have just moved back to the USA and the shower is April 13 for my son's fianc! Yikes!
Thank you!
Francine

It looks like it's the card shape plus two half circles to the right and the bottom. Seems like you could make a pattern pretty easily. Cutting it out, however... not too sure.

Hopefully someone else sees a tutorial.

That Etsy link doesn't work for me.
Simple based on the fact that you say it's a 2 fold diagonal pocket, we have a Diagonal Double Pocket tutorial here ~ Splitcoaststampers - Diagonal Double Punch Card Project Tutorial by Claudia Rosa.
But it sounds to me as if you're just looking for a single pocket.

Hi
This tutorial is nice but the Etsy sight one is totally different and with lace over top. I don't know how they got the lace on it either. If you go to Etsy just type in ...Modern 2 Fold Diagonal Invitation
It will come up
Thank you

I have never seen or made anything like this. Could that pocket possibly be the petal cone die that is available from stampin' up! The pocket looks heart shaped to me and when cut the petal cone is heart shaped. I really don't know but maybe this will give you or someone else something think of an idea.

What if you used this template and instead of the back being heartshaped you made it square? Or you could use this template, wrap the lace around it and tape that to a square backing?
Pocket Heart Valentine Template by FourAliments at Splitcoaststampers

Just a thought.

They probably used a Xyron machine for the lace. That's my guess

I'm thinking the lace covers the front and is adhered to the back of the heart and the heart is well adhered to the front of the pocket.

OK the simplest way is that the square and the heart are separate and the lace acts as the fold to hold them together. There is no indication on what the lace looks like on the back so it could just crisscross to the back edges.

Another way is work with folds which starts getting more complicated (have to be very careful with adhesive placement on pocket cards) and may need an electronic cutter.

Looking at it again...

It looks like a variation of her "Modern 4 fold invitation" - might try the "Square Petal Card" template with a few adjustments to round them more for the "heart effect" - Templates ? Paperandmore.com and just cut two of the petals that are beside each other. The lace would cover where the folds join.

Hope that gives you some ideas on how to approach this.

FWIW I would do a test run before I xyron the lace. Getting all the adhesive out of all those small holes would be a nightmare. Could just be some carefully placed matt glue under the most opaque parts of the lace.

I'd consider trying spray adhesive for the lace before I tried to put it through a Xyron.

The pocket looks like a square with the petals folding to me, similar to the heart pocket.
