do you have the older model or the new and improved model?
I have the older model and the 1/4" mark is the mark just past the 4" mark on mine...
now on the new ones...I'm not sure...becuase they are supposed to have more score lines than mine does....but you should at least have one at the 4 1/4" since that is the normal fold for a card...
i guess the older one. i was quite excited about getting this, now quite honestly i am incredibly aggrevated!
i need to score at 3 1/4 and their isn't a mark. grrrr
where do i line it up? i have a fiskars that it has all the markings, but i thought this was easier. i want to cry, i have so many shower favors to make and this wasn't cheap....

Most places should have the new one out now?
Make sure you are logged into SCS and contact Scor-Pal, they had something going about helping you update to the newer one.
Don't give up on it, this is one great piece of equipment!

if you need a score at 3 1/4" then line it up at 1" (I have used a scrap of cardstock cut to fit as a fence to help in lining up quicker) and score at 4 1/4". That will give you a score where you need it.
thank you all for your help. i appreciate it. i will try lining it up at the 1 inch. it would be so much easier if they had 1/4 marks .... {sigh} this cost $40!!!

We all have crabby days. My arms will not work from the shoulders. I had surgery on my rotator cuff and they can't fix it. I fell in the ice storm we had and broke my leg. Believe me it doesn't take too much to make me crabby either. I suggest you walk away from the problem for 15 min. Relax with a cup of tea, coffee whatever. Go back to your project with a fresh prospective and things may work for you.

this is why I like my scor-it, I can score where I want to at different marks. I hate trying to figure out what line I have to move it to in order to score different marks. Probably just me though, I hate trying to do math in order to figure out where to score stuff at..lol

Once you figure out where the measurements are that you use the most, just color those on the Score-Pal, at the top and below the usual card measurement. I use a couple of different colors of Sharpie permanent markers for this. Visual aids are good for old eyes!

Oh Janice I am sorry that you are having a tough time but boy do I know how you feel. I have had a finacial year from (well you know where)! and any little thing sets me off. I would suggest the same thing and just walk away and relax for a few minutes. The scor - pal (old version or new one) is such an amazing tool! It really cuts my scoring time down in half. Good luck with your dilemna.
Oh Janice...stamping hugs to you honey. What a rotten holiday season. I will pray that 2008 is wonderful for you. I love my Scor Pal. I hope you are able to figure out what you need from the assistance of the other lovely ladies here. Blessings.
Janice, I know how you must be feeling BUT hang in there. I found Diana, the woman who invented the Scor-Pal, and her husband to be wonderful people. Although I don't know her personally, when I called to order my Scor-Pal she was so helpful. She offers great advice and I am sure will help you. Good luck!
(Love my Scor-Pal, especially since I now know how to use it.)
you gals are so nice. i am feeling better now, and actually despite the things that went wrong, my holiday was wonderful and full of blessings. i had a cup of coffee, put the scor pal away and went and read the new stampin up catalog. i feel better and know i will figure it out!
thanks for all the niceness and kindness. i really appreciate it.
sorry i was crabby!
