Does anyone ever suffer from buyers remorse? EVERY time I have a workshop, I buy my stamps and then beat myself up - did I buy the right ones??? What if I should have bought something different?
Here is what I got
Paisley
Lexicon of Love
Polka-dot Posies
Frosty
Totally Cool (daughter's request)
Cool Cat
Hostess - Rivets and Measure of Life
Now I'm questioning Cat and Measure of Life. ARRRRRRRRRRG!
All the time! I buy stamps that I think I cannot live without and then I see other cards on here...and wish like crazy that I would of bought that stamp instead! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Yeah, I think if we're honest we all go through that. It's this place, dang it! I buy stamps I love in the catalog, then see samples made with other sets on SCS and....you know the rest.

At this point of the game I usually go for a few sets and then stock up on accessories. Your sets sound like a nice combination with the backgrounds and styles-you can combine Paisley and "kiss" Cool Cat and get a Paisley car, for example, that would look completely different then just single color stamping her.
One thing I try to keep in mind is that you should have twice as many accessories as stamp sets. That includes pads, ribbon, hardware (love to get the Hodge Podge kit with hostess $$), embossing items, paper, punches, etc. This way you can do more with the sets you do have.

Just start looking at the gallery and stamping away. You picked some great sets. I just got my new cattie order and for some reason ordered "First in Fashion." I thought, why on earth did I order stamps of shoes and purses. So I put on my crafty hat and went to town the other night. I have a set of thank you cards with shoes and I even found little jewels in my craftroom to add some sparkle.
I have had buyers remorse on several occasions. Usually when I try something new that isn't my style exactly. It has taken me a long time to realize that I don't like to color all that much and now I stick with 2 step stamps moe often than not. I love background stamps and think they are perfect for taking your stamping to the next level. Those sets you got all sound like keepers to me. I would just give it time and you will see. I still can't do a thing with DD Daisy even though I love it! I keep trying though. LOL
Oh, don't regret Cool Cat. She's one of my absolute favorites. I just love that set! After you spend some quality time with her, you'll wonder how you ever lived without her!
And, yes, I've had buyer's remorse. Sometimes I put a set aside and come back to it later. Then, I realize why I bought it in the first place. Try not to beat yourself up! When the time is right, you'll use the set.
I think Measure of Life is a beautiful set and the fact that it has two sizes of stamps is a plus. I got it in my last order, and I've colored some of the images, but haven't made cards with them yet. It was the one set that was previewed by the demonstrators here on SCS that I knew I had to have. I couldn't believe it was only a level two!
Cool Cat isn't my style, but the girls on this site have done some really great things with it. I'm sure you won't be dissappointed in either of them once you start to play!

I'm still a new demo for CTMH and have been worrying the same thing, am I buying the right stuff for classes and parties? I've been trying to only buy things I like (and would use if I quit) but also that have a broad appeal too. I've passed on getting stuff I know I would have bought as a customer because it might not be something alot of people will like.
It's tough!
I don't suffer from buyer's remorse for stamps, just big things like $3000 vacuum cleaners and cars! ;) I spend so many years agonizing over which sets I can't live without, that when I finally do get them, like Toile Blossoms that was retiring, I just clutch them to my wildly beating heart and say YESSSSS! And then, I hoard them and don't use them for months! But, gosh darn, I have them!
I totally do that. In fact, I've been going over my first order list so long, now I'm not sure I want anything! :-) I mean, I want EVERYTHING! but I can't have it all at once. <sigh> Just remember, you can always trade your sets on the Buy/Sell/Trade forum if you decide you don't really want them. Deep breath! You're going to make some beautiful stuff with those stamps!
You'll eventually find something to do with all the stamps. Just enjoy playing. I, too, love Cool Cat, even though I don't have the set (a friend does). Check out the gallery and just have fun playing.
I NEVER have buyers remorse. I change and change my order until I e mail to my demo. What I do is forget what I ordered until it comes because it was changed so many times.

I thought I was the only one to do this! In fact, sometimes I email changes to my demo (yikes)
I have so much stuff I want, it really is difficult to prioritize. My advice is to join a stampers club so that you have the opportunity to put in orders on a regular basis.
And if you buy something you really hate/don't use, sell it on ebay. SU stamps fetch good money there.

oh, that is so me!
I think you made some excellent choices. I always find once I scan the gallery I have lots of ideas lighting up in my head to use what I have . . .so if you have doubts just cruise over there!

Thanks everyone. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who goes through this. In the end, I think the set I picked will get a lot of use, and if not, I'll pass them on to someone who will use them!
And, there is always the next party . . . . . . . . .

I *triple heart* love Cool Cat. Like others have said, if you think you got something you don't like, set it aside, peruse the gallery, and I think you'll get inspired to use it.
Sometimes, I see a stamp set I love, buy it, and have no idea how to use it. But I don't remorse or worry. If I love the stamp set, the inspiration will come (if not, there is always the gallery or my demo (she's awesome!).

Oh yea, that's me. I also wait until the last possible moment bc I change my mind so much!!!! Then I might just call her back a moment after I get off the phone to change it one more time. However, I'm ususally so happy with my stamps!
My only true buyers remorse comes from 'the ones that got away'. I soooo wish I had gone ahead and gotten Sage Advice and Long Time friend.
I think that's called "Wallet Remorse"!!!

HIH
I asked her if I could buy Cool Cat from her, if she has decided she does not like it. Now, there is NO WAY she'll sell it!!!
I've gotten a few things that I figured were later a waste...but luckily I did nto spend a ton of money on them. One was this plastic texture background kit (yard sale) and the other was the magic matter cogs. Thought maybe I did a boo boo with buying the fold it punches because I could not figure out how to fold them to make the pretty flowers. My buddy helped me this weekend...so now I might actually play with those a little bit. ;)

I always work off my wishlist. I narrow my wishlist down to top priorities and then check the galleries to see examples. If I can't find a lot of inspiration from the gallery, I bump the set down on the list.
My problem is going to workshops and camps. I always end up seeing/making projects with sets that were never on my list and then having to add them because I loved what I just made.
I wasn't going to get chipboard because I wasn't sure how I was going to use it. However, I went to an open house yesterday and used it. It should be here in a week.
I think you made great choices! I can't imagine you will regret those choices. BUT - the great thing about SU stamps is if they sit unused for several months and you decide you aren't going to use, you could always go to the BSOT forum and find another loving home for them!!
